Sonic, America’s Drive-In, is serving up the new Red, White & Blue Slush Float, an icy-cold, layered treat just in time for Fourth of July celebrations and summertime. Delivering a refreshing sweet treat, the Red, White & Blue Slush Float begins with a layer of icy Blue Raspberry Slush,
adds a layer of Sonic’s real Ice Cream in the center and is topped off with a layer of real strawberries. “The sweet, creamy and icy-cold Red, White & Blue Slush Float captures all the fun of Independence Day with everything you want from Sonic in a cup,” says Scott Uehlein, vice president of product innovation and development for Sonic. “At Sonic, summer goes beyond a season; it’s a feeling, and guests can experience that liberating joy of summer festivities

SONIC Drive-In is really going all-in this summer, and we’re not just talking about its new Brownie Batter Shake. Just in time for the 4th of July, the fast food chain is adding a new Red, White & Blue Slush Float to its menu for a patriotic drink. The new beverage has three distinct icy layers, so you really see the individual colors. The blue layer is SONIC’s Blue Raspberry Slush, followed by a 100% real ice cream layer, and topped with the Strawberry Real Fruit Slush. The two fruity slushie-like layers with the ice cream in the middle is sure to make one creamy sip! You’ll be able to order the Red, White & Blue Slush Float for $2.99 from June 29 through Aug. 2. There will even be commemorative drink Floats available on SONICSwagShop.com for $7. In addition to the patriotic drink, SONIC will also be offering the Red Bull Summer Edition Watermelon Slush, Brownie Batter Shake, Yellow Cake Batter Shake, and Toasted S’mores Shake. That’s a whole lot of beverage options, so you better get started on trying them! SONIC’s new offerings also includes a few food items, and all of them sound like they go great with a side of onion rings. The Chicken Slinger was in testing at the end of last year, but now it’ll be available for all to try nationwide. The classic version of the 100% all-white-meat crispy chicken sandwich is made a brioche bun, mayo, and pickles. You can also get the sandwich in a spicy chicken version, which also includes SONIC’s Spicy Ranch. Last but not least, SONIC has brought back its BBLT, a sandwich made with six slices of crispy bacon (hence the extra “B” in the name), brioche bun, tomatoes, lettuce, and mayo. It’s not going to be easy to decide what to order, but it gives us all the more reason to make several trips to the drive-in this summer!
