Is there a sequel to Dirty Dozen?

Encyclopedia.com gives you the ability to cite reference entries and articles according to common styles from the Modern Language Association (MLA), The Chicago Manual of Style, and the American Psychological Association (APA).

Within the “Cite this article” tool, pick a style to see how all available information looks when formatted according to that style. Then, copy and paste the text into your bibliography or works cited list.

Because each style has its own formatting nuances that evolve over time and not all information is available for every reference entry or article, Encyclopedia.com cannot guarantee each citation it generates. Therefore, it’s best to use Encyclopedia.com citations as a starting point before checking the style against your school or publication’s requirements and the most-recent information available at these sites:

I bet you didn't know that The Dirty Dozen had three made for Television movies, complete with Lee Marvin, in the 1980s, did you? Well. it did. And of the three, this, the first sequel, is definitely the most watchable. It doesn't have quite the same cast the first one did. But it does have pretty much the same corrosive punch. If you liked the first film, you'll like this one too.

Made-for-TV sequel made 20 years after the original, which was set in 1944, but this is still set in World War II, while still featuring two of the original actors. You do that math.

It would've made much more sense, dramatically, to set this during the Vietnam War but seeing as American movies were neck-deep in Vietnam anti-nostalgia at the time, I can't imagine something this TV-inoffensive and bereft of "Oh god the horror and our loss of innocence, when will man learn to settle his differences with civility" sentiments would've gotten very far in the development process.

What action this has has its moments, and it's nice to see a bunch of guys from Predator, Aliens, Death Wish 3 and the like playing the dozen. But nothing gets away from how cheap and watered-down it all is. For Lee Marvin/Ernest Borgnine completists only. And how many of those are out there?

The Dirty Dozen: Next Mission is a made-for-TV film & sequel to the original Dirty Dozen, directed by Andrew V. McLaglen & reuniting Lee Marvin,Ernest Borgnine & Richard Jaeckel 18 years after the original hit war film. Marvin returns to lead an all-new dirty dozen on a mission to assassinate an SS General played by Wolf Kahler.

Where can I watch the dirty dozen next mission?

You are able to stream The Dirty Dozen: Next Mission for free on Tubi.

Is Dirty Dozen Based on a true story?

The novel was inspired by the supposedly true story of some World War II criminal soldiers who got the nickname the Dirty Dozen (or Filthy Thirteen, depending on the source) for their refusal to bathe and who were said to have been sent off on a similar mission.

Which of the Dirty Dozen survived?

Only Reisman, Wladislaw and Sgt. Bowren survive the assault. Appropriated Appellation: Sergeant Bowren nicknames the twelve convicts 'the dirty dozen' after they refuse to bathe or shave as a protest regarding their poor living conditions.
