This works wonders on my natural red hair. I noticed it was getting dull in the winter months and decided to try. I wasn’t disappointed. The smell is nice; not too much and not too little. I’ve only used it 3 times and my hair is much more vibrant!

Directions: Apply to wet hair. Lather. Leave in 1-3 minutes. Rinse. Use 2-3 times a week, alternating with your daily shampoo. Follow with Color Infuse Red Conditioner for best results.

My hair was so dull and searched for something to brighten my natural color. I used a couple other products and they made my hair look dyed. This one is perfect and it gets better and better with each wash. I look forward to washing my hair now. It's so vibrant yet natural red. I get compliments on the daily since using this along with the red conditioner. I was worried about the ingredients (SLS)... so far It's been a few months and my hair feels and looks great.

Yeah, when I first purchased this, after coloring my hair red, I was reassured that this would keep the red color fresh and looking pretty. After two weeks, my color has faded and the white is growing in already from the roots. This was a waste of money, and I’m disappointed. This doesn’t actually ADD color, but more so strips color. Never again.

I bought this because my bleached hair was starting to go a little green with chlorine and lack of upkeep. This really helped neutralize the green and DIDN'T turn the blonde red.

I recently had my hair highlighted a funky shade of red. I love it but it fades so fast. My stylist said to get some red tinted shampoo to keep my hair looking red and add a little oomph. I bought three types not knowing which would be best for me. This one by Joico is good. It does deposit red on my hair. It also dries it out a bit so I condition my hair extra when I use it. I leave it on for three minutes so my hair can suck up the color and then condition. My hair definitely has more red than before I shampooed it.

I like this shampoo but I don't like that it is drying. I am going-to try the others and see how they compare. But, as you can see in the picture, I need help keeping the red...red and this shampoo does do that.

I'm using this to enhance the red color I dye my hair every six weeks. Red fades so fast. I can't tell much difference but it smells good and I love it

I change my stance. It works! In fact, you can tell a difference in the redness even while your hair is still wet. I don't feel like it cleans my hair very well, but it makes it red!

I bounce back and forth with red hair from time to time. I like to lift to a level 6-7 and apply a red from there just for example of vibrancy. I wash my hair once a week maybe twice tops when it’s red to really hold in the color. This shampoo certainly helps my hair to last 4-5 weeks before needing retouch of color which helps so much. The scent is that of a Candy but it doesn’t linger or stay past my other products being applied. This does not leave your hair super moisturized on its own, you 100% need to use a conditioner in pair with it. But when you combine everything your hair is super soft and the color definitely stays vibrant longer.

I bought this for something other than it's intented purpose. I hoped it would hit the porous grey hair and tint it a bit red. No luck so far. It does seem to strip the hair down a bit when I have used it, so consider conditioner.

Wear gloves, follow directions, use the conditioner with it for best results. Definitely don't use every time you wash your hair

For the brunettes with red/warm undertones: I bought this shampoo to bring out the natural warmth in my hair. It has been very effective. I have been using it for about 2 weeks, 3-4 times a week in order to add warmth to my medium brown hair. The difference is more obvious in direct or bright sunlight, where the red tones are very obvious. But overall my hair is darker/warmer, in a dark auburn range. I have been using it in combination with the John Freida Brilliant Brunette shampoo to dark my hair as well.

I don’t find I have to follow up with conditioner, as the shampoo is very gentle on my hair. Hair is left soft and manageable even if I forgo conditioner.

The smell is very pleasant, artificial but nice. Sort of a candy apple smell.

Red never stays in my hair but this is helping. I leave it on for about 2-3 min. I would like to leave it longer but it dries your hair out a good bit. I definitely recommend using a conditioner and leaving it in to get the moisture back in your hair

Yes you can use vivid Bright Red on darker color treated hair & the result will be less vibrant. On brown hair with highlights you will get more vibrant results. Vivid Bright Red can last as long as you want with continued use. Vivids take more time to wash out of the hair.
