Kia telluride order wait time 2022

I just placed an order for a 2023 SXP today and was quoted a ~6 months wait period. I am hoping we get it earlier than that but would like to hear what everyone's experience has been. For the folks who have ordered to a spec, have you received it exactly as you requested or was there an eventual compromise because of the supply chain issues (even after waiting for 4-6 months)

Ugh, I really wish this wasn’t such a common thread. Wouldn’t it be great if we could go back to the days when the cars were on the lot. I ordered the same trim level as you in Canada and that was December 21. Im expecting at least a year wait. Welcome to the long line and no budding

Ordered an LX from Mississauga, ON Jan8th was told to expect it in October. Received it July 12! Drives amazing!

I was a bit optimistic because the dealer took my order at msrp without any markup. Also, I am now getting calls from dealers asking if I'm interested in buying their Carnival on the lot with a small markup. My gut feel says that the dealers have some indication of the incoming supply and have pressure from manufacturers to sell quickly before we get into any kind of recession. Just fantasizing I guess

I placed an order the other week and was just told that my SX-P order was kicked out because they aren’t going to be making 8 passenger SX-P’s

mine was similar to the above.
I had Astral blue with umber leather SX-P with the 8 seater option.
No other add ons. No rear seat or accessories. I was told they aren’t doing 8 seat SX, SX-P’s right now. No other info. Kinda pissed. I was already going to be waiting 8-10 months, now who knows. Might switch to a telluride at this point.

Not sure which accessories you added on, but I'm curious to see if your vehicle comes with them pre-installed or if the dealer has to add them. 45 days is very fast for a new build from the factory. I wonder if your request matched an inbound inventory and you're getting that instead.

Good point. I was equally surprised but if that was the case then I'm happy that someone else had a similar taste 😅

Where did you order from? I ordered an 8 seater SXP in June and I've not heard anything about this.

Ordered from Charlie Obaugh Kia in Staunton Va.

I put the order in a week and a half ago and was told the order was out in. After about a week I noticed they hadn’t charged me for the deposit. So I contacted them. This was the email (a portion)

Kia kicked your order out on Friday because they are not allowing orders for the 8 seat SX Carnival now. I asked if you wanted me to wait until it opens back up (if and when) or cancel. I apologize. It seems to be Kia wide.

im trying to figure out if it is Kia wide or I’m just being pushed around because they don’t want this business.

I ordered from Freedom Kia in Morgantown, WV. You could give them a try, they also sell at MSRP, but it's a $1000 deposit.
