InstructionsThe colourant creme needs to be mixed with 30 or 40 vol developer. Use 20 vol only for relaxed hair. Please note: You are only buying the colourant creme here, not the developer. (Creme developer can be bought at many Australian chemists for around $10.00 per 1000ml). Apply to dry, unwashed hair and and process at room temperature for 30 minutes. Rinse well. My roots were dark brown and the rest of my hair was a faded red, the product of bleaching and dying red, which I hate doing but apparently its the ONLY way to get the color I want. This product specifies that it's for dark hair, no bleach needed, and has 3 levels of lift. SO TELL ME WHY IT TURNED ALL MY HAIR DARK BROWN WITH A SLIGHT RED TINT??? The hair that was red before? Dark brown with a red tint now 😤 I've attached pictures of my hair before, although my roots had grown out considerably, and my hair this morning. I used a 30 and even 40 volume developer on one occasion and left it on for about 45 minutes and also an hour, and didn't give me a drastic change or not the vibrant color I was looking for. However, huge huge huge game changer was when I used a heating hair cap set on alternating medium or high setting, what are the other. You want it on a high warm, just not burn yourself. I also used a 40 volume cream developer this time, along with the heating cap, and my oh my, I was almost fluorescent red. Talk about drastic change. I could have given Bozo the Clown a run for his money. I know its harsh to use a 40 vol developer your hair every month. I'd be okay with even a 20 or 30 volume developer. The heating hair cap definitely gave it a boost. Or maybe it wasthe combination of the heating cap and high volume developer. I used intense red this time. Next time I'll do the magenta red, with a 30 volume cream developer and a heating hair cap. I'm looking forward to it! It still came out cute so I wore it but if you’re dyeing a wig I suggest you lighten it first then add this dye if you truly want it that bright red color even though it says it’s meant to work on dark hair. I also add a lid full of hair protein (search amazon for it, it's in a tiny bottle) then I mix well and apply with a hair color brush. I am 52 with grays coming in all around my face and all over. I get these areas extra good, I let it sit on for 45 minutes then wash out in shower with lukewarm water. I was a 2nd time if I'm still seeing a lot of color. Then I condition and rinse. This color doesn't bleed a lot in showers, lasts a LONG time, the color stays vibrant too. If you get the black plum color, it bleeds in showers for awhile. I've been coloring my hair over 30 years. Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2022 I love that I don’t have to bleach! So that’s great. Really the color faded fast. (Less then 2 weeks) my brown hair is showing thru. It’s much more red then magenta but it turned burgundy within a week & a half. Went into the pool it faded even quicker. It’s a great price tho & I do like the look. One tube came a bit mashup but the seal wasnt broken so I wasnt bothered. How long do you let Loreal HiColor in your hair?Saturate the selected hair based on the desired effects. Process for 30 minutes at room temperature. Rinse hair well after the processing time. Rinse with warm water until water runs clear and then shampoo.
How do you mix Loreal HiColor magenta with developer?You're supposed to mix 1 part color with 1.5 parts developer in a plastic bowl. Don't use metal! Mix until it's smooth and creamy.
Does Loreal HiColor bleed red?Least bleeding. No after wash staining of towel. No dryness after color. Long lasting color.
