I want to use it for operating system. Im using windows 10. Right now i have samsung 850 evo(windows) and wd blue 1 tb

Leave the OS on the current 850 EVO.
Unlikely you can use an NVMe in a slot adapter. And even if you can, you won't see any real difference.

NVMe support on the Z97 era boards was spotty.

The M.2 port is only PCI-E 2.0 x2.
Bringing any drive in that to no better than a 2.5" SATA III SSD.
And NOT guaranteed to be able to boot from it.

And a 970 EVO Plus in that port would be no faster than a typical SATA III SSD.
No benefit for the extra cost.

And likely turns of one or more SATA ports on the motherboard.

True again but the OP is asking about a m.2 not a 2.5.

Right.
And while it would work, it is extra money for no gain.

As a secondary drive, sure.
In my previous Z97 board, I had my Intel 660p as a secondary drive.
Worked just fine.

What will you use it for?
What other drives are in this system, and what is the OS on now?
