We researched areas that are consistently ranked as the most expensive neighborhoods in the world to provide a resource guide for individual investors.
1. The Peak, Hong Kong
Hong Kong’s most secluded neighborhood is set above the city and offers fantastic views of the skyline and exclusive privacy. This luxury comes of course with an exceptional price. With US$114,000 per square meter the Peak is currently the most expensive neighborhood in the world.
2. TriBeCa, New York
TriBeCa also remained 2017 the most expensive neighborhood in New York City. With a median price of whopping $4.683 million, it arrives far in front of Soho and Hudson Square. The neighborhood is characterized by an industrial chic combined with simple sophistication. It is also one of the celebrities favorite areas. Stars like Justin Timberlake, Harry Styles and Jennifer Lawrence call the high-end downtown Manhatten neighborhood their home.
3. Knightsbridge, London
In the list of the most exclusive neighborhoods, London cannot be missing. We could probably mention several areas, but the most expensive one is Knightsbridge. This neighborhood has a lot to offer, next to the Hyde Park it offers many restaurants, bars, underground parking and luxury shopping.
4. Point Piper, Australia
The Wolseley Road is Australia’s most expensive street and is one of the ten most expensive streets in the World. It is home to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, John Symond, Frank Lowy and Julia Ross. Point Piper offers exclusive beaches and breathtaking views over Sydney skyline.
5. Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat, France
Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat features some of the most expensive properties of all time. No wonder it is called the playground of the billionaires. Nestled between Nice and Monaco, it has the old-style Riviera glamour and can be characterized as beautiful and breathtaking. In 2016 the most expensive house in the world has been listed for $ 1,1 billion.
6. Ostozhenka, Moscow
Ostozhenka tells the story of the city, it is defined by the mixture of historical architecture and modern buildings. The Ostozhenka street is listed among the most expensive neighborhoods in the world and the area offers many international restaurants, museums and one of the largest outdoor swimming pool.
7. Pacific Heights, San Francisco
Pacific Heights is one of the most expensive and wealthiest neighborhoods in the United States. The area boasts a median home sale price of $2.09 million. It offers a beautiful view and is home to many old-monied families and young tech millionaires.
8. Good Class Bungalows, Singapore
Good Class Bungalows are not a neighborhood by definition, but they are the most prestigious type of housing in Singapore. Their prices range between $4 million and $ 100 million.
A bungalow that falls within the boundaries of such Good Class Bungalow Areas GCBA needs to have a minimum land plot size of 1,400 sqm and maximum building height of 2-storeys only. Owners also need to agree not to build a bungalow that consumes more than 35% of the plot size, as they want to assure the greenery of the complex. One of the most prestigious Good Class Bungalows is currently listed on JamesEdition.
