10. Chris Dudley - 17 Missed Free Throws

Chris Dudley played for 16 seasons in the NBA. Yet, he could never shoot over 56% from the free-throw line, which happened during his rookie year. He even shot a career-worst 30% from the line in 1989-90. He was a 45.8% career shooter from the charity stripe and had one of the most unorthodox shooting forms ever, as you can see in the clip above.

9. Wilt Chamberlain - 18 Missed Free Throws

Wilt Chamberlain was one of the most dominant athletes in sports history. He was a man amongst boys, a guy that could get whatever he wanted inside the paint. Yet, he was never a good free-throw shooter. In fact, he rathered intentionally miss, grab his own rebound, and then dunk the ball, until the league banned him from doing so.

8. Dwight Howard - 18 Missed Free Throws

Even if his career took a bit of downfall at some point, there's no denying that Dwight Howard was the most dominant big man of his generation. He was a menace on the defensive end and a physical rebounder on both ends of the floor. But he's also a 56.6% free-throw shooter per his career. His better shooting season from the line was in his rookie year when he shot 67.1%.

7. DeAndre Jordan - 18 Missed Free Throws

DeAndre Jordan fought his way into the starting lineup after being a second-round pick and a non-factor in the offensive end. He was an elite rim protector and a disruptive presence down low. He led the league in dunks multiple times and that was his only source of scoring, as he's a 47.5% shooter from the line, which is the second-worst ever.

6. Wilt Chamberlain - 19 Missed Free Throws

Back to Wilt Chamberlain, this clip could show precisely why he was so bad as a free-throw shooter. He shot just 51.1% from the line throughout his career, which is below his career average of 54.0% from the field. Yeah, he was way more likely to dunk the ball over two defenders or finish with either hand than to sink a free-throw, crazy as it may seem.

5. DeAndre Jordan - 20 Missed Free Throws

Unsurprisingly, DeAndre Jordan makes our infamous list once again. Opposing teams started intentionally foul him to mess with the Clippers' momentum and it worked over and over. He had games with 22, 24, and 34 attempts from the line when he was in his prime and as you can expect, he didn't find much success.

4. Shaquille O'Neal - 21 Missed Free Throws

Some people say that the only two things that held Shaquille O'Neal back from being the best player of all time were injuries and free-throw shooting, and I won't be the one to disagree. Shaq was a cheat code, a dominant force of nature that couldn't be stopped... until 'Hack-A-Shaq' happened. He holds the record for most free-throws missed in NBA history (1,149) and shot just 52.7% from the line per his career.

Wilt Chamberlain makes our list once again and to no surprise, as sending him to the line was the only way to stop him from scoring. He never shot better than 61.3% from the free-throw line and averaged 11.4 free-throws per game throughout his career, so it's not like he didn't have enough chances to get better. He still finished his career with the second-highest points per game average ever (30.1), imagine if he could knock down his free throws.

2. DeAndre Jordan - 22 Missed Free Throws

DeAndre Jordan would've had the worst free-throw related record if it wasn't for Andre Drummond - but we'll get to that in a while. He went 12/34 from the charity stripe during the worst shooting night of his career. But hey, at least he's a 67.4% shooter from the field, which is the highest in NBA history.

1. Andre Drummond - 23 Missed Free Throws

Andre Drummond holds the not-so-honorable record of having the worst free-throw percentage in NBA history (47%). Also, he has the most misses in a single game (23) and has never been able to improve that aspect. He's one of the best rebounders in the league and a physical presence in the paint, but he's also pretty easy to take out from a game due to his poor free-throw shooting.
