Question: "No location found" vs "location not available" in Find My app

I would like to know what is the difference between both. Which one means they stopped sharing location with you and which one means that their phone turned off/no internet connection?

If the device can’t be located: You see “No location found” under the device’s name.

Is there a difference between no location found and location unavailable?

You can still see the location of your friends, but your friends see Location Not Available when they try to locate you. If the device can't be located: You see “No location found” under the device's name.

Why would a iPhone say no location found?

It happens when the location services are turned off. It also emerges when your iPhone is in Airplane mode. If the issue emerges, you can check and enable the Location Services. Also, you can turn off the Airplane mode and check the feature again.

How can you tell if someone turned off their location on iPhone?

You can know if someone turned off their location when you see the 'Location not available' message on the Find My app..
GPS off..
Location turned off..
A red exclamation mark (!) ... .
No Location found..

What does no location found mean on Find my friends on iPhone?

Check these settings and ensure that your and your friend's (if you are trying to locate your friend's device) settings are correct: Ensure that Location Services are enabled. If this option is already turned on, turn it off and back on again. iPhone or iPad: Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
