 With the new iPhone 11 series, Apple is finally stepping up its game in the camera department. There was a time when Apple used to lead in the smartphone imaging department but over the last few years, the company had felt behind its competition. The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, however, change that with their impressive camera performance. But how good is the camera performance of the iPhone 11 when compared to the Galaxy Note 10+? Find out in this comparison. There is a lot to like about the iPhone 11’s camera. While the sensor size and specs remain the same as the iPhone XS from last year, Apple has improved its image processing and added a few other tricks to improve the overall image quality. The inclusion of a Night mode in the camera app is a big deal as it finally allows the iPhone to rival other Android smartphones in low-light scenarios. The iPhone 11 does miss out on a telephoto camera but it features the same 12MP ultra-wide angle shooter as its bigger and expensive brother, the iPhone 11 Pro. As for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, it has one of the most versatile camera setups around in an Android smartphone. Sure, its low-light performance is not praised as highly as the Huawei P30 Pro or Google Pixel 3 but the overall camera experience is miles better. While I am using the iPhone 11 for this comparison, the results will also be applicable for the iPhone 11 Pro since they have the same primary and ultra-wide angle sensors. I have not used the Note 10+’s telephoto sensor in this comparison since the iPhone 11 does not come with one. iPhone 11 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Camera ComparisonGalaxy Note 10+: The sky is a lot more vivid and the grass ‘greener’ in this photo iPhone 11: A more realistic picture, and it even exposes the darker parts properly Galaxy Note 10+: I like this photo more because it is more vibrant, though not necessarily accurate iPhone 11: Not a bad pic at all… Galaxy Note 10+: Everything is just a bit too blue, green etc. in this photo to make it pop… iPhone 11: Realistic colors Galaxy Note 10+: Once again, the colors are boosted but it did not blow out the highlights… iPhone 11: I did not expect the iPhone 11 to blow out the text on the board like it has done here… Galaxy Note 10+: There’s a slight oil painting-like effect here Galaxy Note 10+: Night mode also works with the ultra-wide camera iPhone 11: No Night mode on ultra-wide angle camera means its best not to use it when there’s less light iPhone 11: The primary 12MP camera does a far better job in such situations thanks to Night mode I think the above camera samples speak for themselves. The Galaxy Note 10+ and the iPhone 11 both come with excellent camera setup and you cannot go wrong with either of them. The Note 10+ tends to take slightly oversaturated photos, while the iPhone 11 prefers to capture more realistic photos. In the end, it all boils down to one’s preferences. For posting on social media, many people would prefer the photos from the Note 10+ but when viewed on the big screen, the iPhone 11 photos will look better. The iPhone 11’s ultra-wide angle camera does lack Night mode support which is a bummer in my opinion. You can see just how bad the ultra-wide angle captures photos in low-light scenarios. Moving to the ultra-wide lens, Samsung did a better job bringing out the color of the grass, but the windows are a bit washed out again. As we said, the S10 has a superior 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter.
Is the Samsung Note 10 better than iPhone?Samsung's Galaxy Note 10 and Apple's iPhone XS Max both offer great screens, smooth performance, and long battery life, but there are a few important ways in which they differ. With its S Pen stylus and multitasking features, the Note 10 is better when it comes to productivity.
Does the note 10 have a good camera?Photos have good detail and well controlled noise, while dynamic range is excellent as well. There's no loss in saturation either. If we have to note one thing that's less than ideal, it would be the halos around neon signs - we've seen other phones define those edges better.
Is Samsung or iPhone better for photos?In Portrait Mode, there's a lot of similarity. Samsung has improved the edge detection and bokeh of its portrait photos, and both the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the S22 Ultra take great images. The iPhone is of course more vibrant, and in some images, it's a little sharper.
