Stay out of woods until 1/2 before sunrise and you better be out the second 1/2 after arrives, even if you have to run.

You can be in the woods outside these given times but your firearm must be unloaded or your arrow unknocked.

For starters, Read the digest and keep one with you at all times when hunting..

For legal hunting hours does it mean i cant go in the woods before or after these times

No, you can go into the woods at anytime...

or does it mean i cant shoot anything outside of the given times?

Correct...[up]

See how easy that was guys???[eyeroll][eyeroll]

For the OP...Keep in mind that the 1/2 before and after sunset is a F&G rule. You also need to practice common sense in that you may not be able to see well enough to make a good shot even within those timeframes.

This is the reason I would never hunt public property ever again in this life.

"The big yellow one is the sun!" - Brian Regan

What is half hour before sunrise?

The period immediately after sunset is known as civil twilight. During this period the sky is still bright enough, even if you cannot see the sun. Streetlights are still off and, normally, you can see the road without using headlights. This period is roughly half an hour after sunset and half an hour before sunrise.

How soon after sunset should you turn on your headlights?

The glare of oncoming headlights makes seeing the road more difficult. For driving at night, you should: • Make sure your windows are clean. Turn your headlights on from ½ hour after sunset until ½ hour before sunrise. Make sure your headlights are clean and working well.

When should you use your headlights any time you can't see at least one mile ahead one hour after sunset any time you have trouble seeing other cars?

Explanation Headlights must be used from one half hour after sunset until one half hour before sunrise. They must also be used at any other time when visibility is less than 200 feet.
