As part of my EMBA IMD I recently concluded the module on Impact Investing & ESG Financial Integration. Thanks to professor Vanina Farber for opening our eyes to the world of sustainable investment. When we talk ESG, we know we want and need to make an impact, however, we know as well that we will require some funding, but we do not know how to finance it. There are very different options to fund impact projects and to really make the change that this planet requires. Looking forward to continuing learning and testing this new way of financing.
Congratulations to all participants, faculty, and team members who helped make the EMBA Core Module 2 week at IMD a memorable experience. The December 2022 EMBA cohort, aka “NeveRest", kicked off their Executive Career Management Module with a weekend dedicated to facilitated, individual career reflection and development planning. Core Module 2 provided the cohort with an intensive week covering Culture for Strategic Impact, Dynamics of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence, Finance, and Implementing Strategic Change. 54 participants, from 34 nationalities and 15 different industries, contributed their drive and diverse executive experience to co-create a learning experience befitting our mission – to develop reflective global leaders. Good morning! #entrepreneurs #dirigeants #etresoi #conduiteduchangement #piratmom #payforward
Great leaders aren't know-it-alls who constantly try to outshine everyone. Instead, they admit when they're wrong and genuinely want to learn from others. According to Brian Scudamore, I've learned that strong leaders don't fight to have the first and last word. They listen to their teams, ask the right questions, and give everyone the chance to contribute. Instead of trying to do it all, find people who can do it better. Then, with the right people in place, you can take a step back to focus on your strengths – like leading your team and planning your company's future. At the end of the day, it's not about being the most intelligent person in the room. It's about building a team with the smartest people you can find and inspiring your team to believe in the impossible. As so many Italian hotels have zero customer service, poor wifi & look like museums of the1970s, it was a delight entering the modern, bright, clean reception area of the Alcyone and to be welcomed by Enrica, the very pleasant & efficient receptionist who completed the overly bureaucratic Italian check in process in less than a minute.
The hotel feels spacious while the room was clean with a good sized bathroom & large shower with a terrace offering a sea view and overlooking the grounds. The bed was large and comfortable and I slept very well. It is located by the beach and about a 10 minute drive to the central train station car park in Pescara which is free after 9pm allowing you to enjoy the downtown night life. On this occasion I attended a party at the recently opened wine bar/restaurant called Randevu. The hotel bar remains open throughout the night and I was served a drink & food when I returned at 1am.
I did not sample the breakfast or see the swimming pool or health club as I was only there for the night, but I assume they are in keeping with the rest of the hotel.
In the morning I walked across the road & enjoyed a long stroll on the sunny Francavilla beach which is deserted outside the June-August peak season. Overall, an excellent modern hotel providing excellent customer service and I will be returning later this
year.

My first stay at Phi ParK Hotel Alcione and it was the best decision we made. Totally turned our beach holiday into a welcoming, nurturing and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Donato and the amazing staff, too many to mention but all memorable, made us so comfortable that I looked forward to returning to the hotel everyday. The room was spacious and immaculate, kudos to housekeeping everyday. The meals were delicious and dining al fresco in the gorgeous garden was surreal, ambiance galore. Loved the beach there and have to say we made awesome memories. Will be returning next summer for sure.
Room tip: We chose a room with a balcony beachside.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Phi Park Hotel Alcione for a week during the end of June 2017 and I can only provide upmost praise for the property, the fantastic services and outstanding team.
The hotel is located just in front of the beach which is so convenient and you have free access to the
hotel’s private beach with free sunbeds and umbrella, what an advantage knowing that this is usually charged.
If you prefer a pool instead of beach, they have that too on the roof top with a stunning view! So relaxing!
I stayed in a Deluxe room which was very spacious and perfect with a view on the garden and the beach. We booked half board which I can definitely recommend because the kitchen is outstanding. New menu every day and you will lick your fingers. I never bothered going to
another restaurant for lunch time as the hotel’s lunch service surprised me every day.
But, the upmost cherry on top of the cake at this hotel is the TEAM. Every day we were greeted by the warm and charming Director of Operations who was so friendly and always checking on how our stay was going. And upon my arrival I was welcomed by the Reservations Manager Erica herself who was just a delight. The entire team should be complimented, Phi Park Hotel Alciones is definitely my favorite and I
will definitely return! Grazie mille e a presto!
