While I was reading this collection, my mind was singing "I need somebody who can love me at my worst...." And that too the you-know-who's version 💟 Exactly for Rupi Kaur's readers! You will not be disappointed with this collection. It's that this feels like the younger version of Rupi Kaur's poetry collection. The lines are genuine and, no doubt, you will feel connected to the written words as soon as you start reading them. Go

Like a conversation with someone who knows you, gets you, truly understands you. Someone who puts their phone away as soon as you sit down because there's nothing on there that could
be more interesting that anything you could have to say. What an absolute breath of fresh air in a genre that has long started to feel oversaturated and often derivative and even performative.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley. I enjoyed reading this book so much! I was so surprised when I read a poem regarding astrology, which is a subject I truly love -- happy to know that the author is also a scorpio sun. Every poem is full of emotion and beautifully written. She's very talented and I'm glad I chose this book. The illustrations throughout the book are also

Sep 20, 2021 Aislin rated it liked it This little book of poems is divided into four sections generally by theme and
chronological order. For the most part, I really enjoyed these poems! The standouts for me were the poems about grief, coming out as bisexual, and loving your inner child. Those poems in particular were really great!

Among all the other poetries throughout this collection of poems, this one had my heart. Otherwise, I didn't connect with most of the poems. It's just that the poetry reminded me of something
I'd read before.

This is one of the very few items that I have returned. If you’re looking for something similar to Rupi Kaur, like I was… it’s not. My friend told me about this book, and I was
expecting something moving and beautiful, but the poetry turned out to be quite primitive and also looked mentally unhealthy. I just can’t wrap my head around something like this:
Feb 25, 2022 Allison rated it really liked it lovely poetry collection with raw and relatable themes
I can’t tell if I liked this book or not. Some poems I related to and saw the beauty in and others I cringed at and thought were immature. It was obvious the author tried to appeal to younger people like gen Z or young millennials with the references she made. And like I said I either really loved it or cringed at it.
I always struggle writing poetry reviews 😅 I really enjoyed this one! Angemeer has a fantastic way with words and I cried several times. This was really beautiful 💕

Oct 02, 2021 Alicia rated it it was amazing What a wonderful collection of poetry. This is the first book I’ve read from this author. I liked how the poetry was set up in four different sections. This poet definitely has a way with words as each poem flowed so well with a clear message. I really liked her poems about not being able to get over past relationships and I feel like these poems will relate to many people. I’m definitely going to read her other books of poetry. Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC.
Jan 14, 2022 Zoë rated it it was amazing Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. I truly loved this book and I would buy my own copy and even gift it to my friends. The art was a beautiful and welcoming surprise, with the mix between short and long poems and themes including love in all forms and self-love, it was beautiful. This poetry book spoke about the past, the present and the future and it highlighted that loving yourself is the most important thing above everything else.
