idk, I finished the game 2 weeks ago. So I got bored and started replaying the missions on chapter 1 & 2. I pretty much had all my shit playing the game. Show I’d figured if I could replay the missions with all my shit, what’s stopping me from replaying the whole story with all my shit (since generally that’s what new game plus is) I am not sure how NG+ changes anything. Whether you replay for fun or replay for new gear you are still just replaying the same content. Also, since gear has such little value in M&M Story it is not really beneficial to play. Because of the way Deadeye and other game mechanics work you can use all your starting gear through endgame without any loss of ability. This differs from most other games where you need better gear to complete the game. Most games give you NG+ because they know their play experience is not very long: a 35 hour game gives NG+ to stretch the game into 65+ hours of played time: they mentally trick you into playing twice by offering you new stuff that is not needed. By doing this your play experience seems longer. But RDR2 can easily stretch into 80+ hours on a single play. RDR2 is already one of the longest games you can buy. We would all like more game, but I do not believe NG+ is the driving force of need. RDR2 just is not like most other games. Will there be a RDR3?Red Dead Redemption 3's Release Might Be Close To 2030
However, the idea of being a decade older for the release of RDR3 might be the scariest part of the release date. Rockstar has, as expected, been quiet about RDR3, and it's uncertain when development for the next Red Dead started, or if it has even begun at all.
Does starting a new game in rdr2 delete the old one?Starting a New Game does not delete Collectibles or options settings. If you want to reset these, you will need to manually delete the player profile save outside of the game.
