Does anyone have this soft top on their TJ? Don't see much in the way of reviews. Curious how it fits (2004 here) and if anyone has had any quality issues.

I bought one about a month ago and the fit was nice but it is loud. I sold it over the weekend and replaced it with a sailcloth oem top my cousin had and it is a night and day difference. If you need a cheap top and don't mind the noise its great but it about drove me nuts.

Don't buy anything from Rough Country, you get what you pay for.

Replace it with a Bestop OEM Replace-a-top sailcloth. That is the factory replacement soft top, and believe me when I say it's worth the extra money. I paid $535 for mine brand new, but it's worth every penny. It's high quality, super quiet on the highway, and much more durable than any of this aftermarket crap.

Not to mention it's OEM so it fits perfectly.

The way their lifts fail over time, I'd be pretty hesitate about their top

Are Jeep soft tops worth it?

Advantages of a Soft Top Versatility: Given the malleable nature of soft tops, they're intrinsically more versatile than their harder counterparts. They can easily be removed and then installed again making it easy to go without a top during those nice weather days without much effort.

How long does a soft top on a Jeep last?

As a rule of thumb, the average life of a Jeep soft top is 3-5 years.

Is a Jeep soft top okay for winter?

To answer your lingering question, yes, it is completely fine to use Jeep soft tops in the winter. If you don't have dual tops, a soft top will still be able to keep you warm during those cold months. Jeep heaters are known to be quite good, and they also heat up quickly.

Is a Jeep hard top safer than a soft top?

Hardtop Jeeps provide more protection in the event of wrecks and rolls. Soft tops are safe with the addition of roll bars, but hardtops are still less likely to crush or break. They provide more durability. On that note, because of their durability, they don't have to be replaced as often as soft tops do.
