This classic from the 40’s has become the second most popular song for kids for this holiday season. Written by Johnny Marks, it was based on the 1939 story Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer published by the Montgomery Ward Company. The names of Santa Claus’s reindeer make reference to the 1823 Christmas poem “A Visit From Saint Nicholas” (famously known as ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas), which popularized said names.
