Samsung retail mode password 5444 not working

I do not have retail mode on my device but I found these instructions:

Go to "Settings, then scrolling down and selecting General Management, and finally Retail Mode. This will bring up a screen asking if you want to turn it off. You can also do this by going to Settings, Backup and Reset, and finally Backup Storage - Backup Options. Then select Retail Mode Turnoff."

On several sites they say the password is 5444

It is also mentioned that if demo mode is all that works, it is a stolen phone and only samsung can fix it. If that's the case possibly you got tricked into buying a stolen phone?

i was scrolling through ebay one day when i found a samsung s10 plus for the suspiciously low price of 20 dollars. i bought it for the hell of it when i saw the price. when it arrived, i opened the box, unwrapped it, and plugged it in. when i turned it on, it was stuck in something called retail mode, and it wouldn't me let do anything. if i changed a setting, it would simply revert its settings back to normal if i tried changing anything. i've already done a good amount of research and tried many methods, but none have worked so far. is there a way to get rid of retail mode?

What is Samsung retail mode code?

you go to the app called Retail Mode. First password is the - 5444, then you will click off disable retail mode. will ask you again for password. that you will use the M729Q16K8546. It will then as you if you want to factory reset phone. Click yes.
