Orlando's Exotic Animal Experience offers visitors the chance to have personal encounters with some of the world's most interesting animals. Residents at the park include several species of kangaroos and lemurs, owl monkeys, kinkajou, deer, and two-toed sloths. All visits are by reservation only, and guests have the choice of a group experience, private visit, and special packages that allow you to spend extra time with the animals.

Me and my boyfriend did the ultimate experience here and it was worth every penny! It’s a very relaxed and fun environment where you get to hold and hang out with all the animals. All the animals are very sweet and social, you can tell they get a lot of love and are so well taken care of. Leslie and the others that work there are very nice and made this such a wonderful experience. I have already told all my friends that if they are ever in Orlando they have to go!

Wow what a once in a lifetime opportunity. Would recommend anyone who loves animals to visit. The animals were healthy and friendly. The staff was knowledgeable. The facility was very clean and we were welcomed into all the living areas of the animals. We held lemurs, sloths, spider monkey, bush baby and more. Incredible and unforgettable. Would visit again.

Giving 1 star due to unprofessional customer service and inaccurate details on website. It states “No Appointments Booked Over 30 Days in Advance.” I tried booking on April 20th for a May 19th (Thursday) appointment and was told there were no more spots available. Wish i knew to book months in advance. I’m very disappointed I can’t go during my stay in Orlando , I was looking forward to the experience.

Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park

Water park

Water & Amusement Parks

Big aquatic playground with a snowstorm theme features a lazy river, waterslides & a kids' zone.

Slide 1 of 4

The weather was nice and so we decided to check out Disney’s Blizzard Beach waterpark. Of the two Disney waterparks, this one has the more exciting slides and a better mix of family attractions in my opinion. All the waterparks get pretty busy, especially when the weather is nice so here, more than anywhere else, is where I’d urge you to get to the big slides first as you may find wait times over 90 minutes after midday and there are no FastPass privileges at the waterparks. Crowds tend to reduce after 3pm so you do have the option to relax on the beach or lazy river first to build up the courage for the 120ft Summit Plummet…

Best day ever! Best water park experience so far. We had the time of our lives. Definitely more interesting and focused on kids 8 and up (48 inch tall for most of the slides). I waited 2 years for my boy to be tall enough so we can enjoy it together. There was no lines, no waiting time. Just perfect. We went multiple times on the slides. Park was busy but Covid safety busy - wasn't over packed and there was so much space between people. Just amazing. Staff was so friendly. Food/snacks was good too. Water was the perfect temperature. Just great experience.

This park was absolutely amazing! There is lots of shade to put your stuff, some super fun slides, and the best lazy river! It is easy to get around in and their food is even yummy! This was the perfect way to get out of the other theme parks and relax!

Blizzard Beach was one of our favorite parks. My kids had a blast. Their favorite thing to do here was the wave pool. I could not get them out of it. Lol . Also we loved the blizzard winter theme and the family water slide. I definitely recommend if you visit Disney World.

Slide 1 of 3

I was there for The Summit Cheer Competition. It was a lot to take in with so many people everywhere. Everything was clean! It was easy to find our way around. Parking was free in the grass and which was a bit of a walk but not too bad. Definitely made it less congested getting out. Seating was decent. Seats were pretty comfortable and the leg room wasn't bad. The temperature inside was perfect. I had cinnamon pretzels which were delicious but of course expensive.

Nice facility. Very clean, no trash anywhere! The natural turf is very high quality. Parking can be very very far from the fields. No seating in 90+% of the fields so bring a chair or sit on the grass. Also, the scoreboards don’t work…none of the scoreboards work. Also, the concessions and bathrooms can be quite far away from the playing fields depending on which field you are at. Not enough bathrooms. ~$20/day admission fee. Prices for concessions are on the high side but not high by Disney standards (eg $4 for a small black coffee). Security personnel are everywhere. You are required to give Disney your biometric info (fingerprint scan) to enter … so some concerns about how Disney is going to use/monetize your biometric data. There are strategically placed cameras as well so I suspect Disney is collecting facial recognition data also and linking it to your fingerprint, so be prepared to give this up as well for Disney to monetize.

Lovely sports complex with food and drink stands. Great sports themed coffee drinks and sopapillas. Be sure to purchase event merchandise early, they sold out of the USYS PRO League hoodies and most shirts by the second day of the 3 day event.

Slide 1 of 15

NASA’s main operations center – from where the early Apollo and Space Shuttle programs were managed – is a fascinating place to discover. Visitors arriving at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will encounter a number of exhibits featuring exciting items like an Apollo capsule, the real Lunar Module 9, Apollo spacesuits, and the giant Saturn V rocket (the largest to ever flow through space). There are a number of experiences here besides the displays, including a special bus tour to a rocket launch site originally built for the Apollo program.

Situated in Merritt Island, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the only place in the world where you can see the real space shuttle Atlantis, touch a moon rock, meet a veteran NASA astronaut, tour a NASA spaceflight facility, and get an up-close view of a real Saturn V moon rocket all in the same day. Other exhibits include lunar exploration, mock astronaut training, the shuttle launch experience, and an IMAX theater. You can even watch launches from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station!

While the Kennedy Space Center isn’t in Orlando proper (it’s an hour’s drive east from the city), it’s still a must-visit attraction if you’re in the Central Florida area, and is a great day-trip option. A NASA junkie’s dream, you can tour through memorabilia from various missions and astronauts and see shuttle launch simulations, all of which should make your inner nerd deeply happy.

On July 29, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex updated its mask policy. Guests, including those who have been vaccinated, must wear face coverings in all indoor locations at the visitor complex. This includes attractions, attraction queues, show viewing areas, restaurants and bus transportation to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, according to a news release.

at Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll see space and astronauts in action at Kennedy Space Center. Arguably one of the most famous and frequented Orlando museums, the center is NASA’s launch headquarters and is home to engaging exhibits. Plus, where else in Orlando will you have the chance to meet and speak with a veteran astronaut?

Visit an operating NASA launch headquarter, just a short distance from Orlando, at the Kennedy Space Center. It's the only place on Earth where you can tour launch areas, meet a veteran astronaut, and train in a spaceflight simulator. Don't miss your chance to explore the place where many of mankind's greatest accomplishments happened.

Just 45 minutes from Orlando is the Kennedy Space Center, the site of the launching of numerous NASA spacecraft. Launches are rare, but are certainly worth seeing if possible. There is also a visitor complex, which has numerous interactive exhibits on space exploration, simulations and an IMAX cinema.

When organizing your list of things to do in Orlando with kids besides Disney, make sure the Kennedy Space Center makes the cut. This hands-on space museum features everything from artifacts to self-guided tours. The 60 interactive simulators immerse guests in a true-to-life spaceflight experience.

The Kennedy Space Center is an hour west of central Florida but is well worth a visit. The Kennedy Space Center is the most visited space campus around the world. It is home to over 700 buildings that range from astronaut dorms to the space station factory to the launch control center.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue. With ceremony and reception options among the space shuttle and/or rockets, wedding celebrations are truly out of this world. Space Commerce Way, Merritt Island, FL 32953(855) 433-4210 | kennedyspacecenter.com

Only about an hour from downtown Orlando, you can visit the famous space coast and the Kennedy Space Center. This is one of NASA’s field centers and is the primary launch spot for spaceflights. This is the location that launched the Apollo, Skylab, and Space Shuttle programs.

Our son recently got into rockets, space, planets, and astronauts, thanks to Story Bots. It was the perfect time to go to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Although it’s not in Orlando, it’s only a 45-minute drive, depending on where you are staying.

Truly a one of a kind experience. To see the human race taking its first steps towards the stars. How can I give it anything less than 5 stars 🌟

Kennedy Space Center (KSC) was an amazing trip. Purchased multi day tickets. Definitely was an unique place to see and experience. Really want to make it back down again to see an rocket launch. So much to see and do. Recommend the multi day pass get there early and the take the bus tour to the Apollo/Saturn V Center. Then back to the main Visitor Center. Great for the entire family.

Took the day to explore this place and still did not see everything. I took someone's suggestion and reserving the bus that takes you yo the other side where you cannot drive yourself too and I went early. Made it back in time to explore the Atlantis! That was lots of fun especially taking a ride in the simulator. I don't like adventure rides bit I took a chance with that one. It was ok. I actually expected more but that's probably after hearing the details of how it is on an actual rocket take off. Haha For every exhibition you visit they take your picture. I swear I wasn't going to get any but that swear couldn't hold up when I got to the space center and the Atlantis... They did a good job! Parking was $10 . I paid $62 to skip the line but I git there 30 minutes after opening so there wasn't any line plus it was on a Monday. Stay hydrated and have fun. The food prices are reasonable.

Admire the New Urbanism architecture in the town of Celebration—including a post office designed by Michael Graves and the Philip Johnson-designed Town Hall—on a DIY walking tour of the community created by the Walt Disney Company.

We had a perfect day to do the bike trail using the map and instructions from the rental personnel. Digital art is my rendition...we rented 2 bikes for 2 hours for $43. (40+3 tax)

A bike rentals in a great location close to a bicycle path. While I didn't rent a bike there but i did bring my trike bike and I did talk employees that work there and they were very knowledgeable of celebration. They also gave me a map which they also give do the bikers as well and it shows a trail that they plotted out and is about 7 miles long and it takes you to the wooded areas around several ponds and wooden bridges and some beautiful houses. The trails are wide enough to accommodate one bicycles in each direction. You could also use a map to create your own trail and experience. Can't wait to Walter again and run the trail again. This time I'll have pictures the go with the experience.

If you like leisure biking and are in the Orlando area consider Celebration Bike Rental. Staff are great. Bikes are very nice and sturdy. They have a 7 mile loop bike trail to follow which takes you by residential areas and in "wilderness" areas. Highly recommend.

The National Navy SEAL Museum

Museum & grounds devoted to the Navy SEALs featuring exhibits of equipment & historical artifacts.

Slide 1 of 3

This is a small museum but packed full of excellent exhibits, armory, movies and weaponry. The volunteer docents were very good and explained everything to us before we entered. Climb inside the helicopter and you will get a realistic feeling of what it was like to be a paratrooper. The Medal of Honor section was excellent because it gave the full story of the bravery of the recipients. We particularly enjoyed seeing all of the operations that were conducted by Navy Seals outside of declared wars (Panama, Haiti, etc.) The Normandy section was very good as were the sections on canines. Great experience.

Great place if you are there when there is not a crowd. I enjoyed all the exhibits. They were quite interesting and the obstacle course outside was fun. At the same time, I was quite disappointed about the inconsistency of mask wearing among the staff and the inability to socially distance within this setting. That's why I only gave a 4. We were between 2 large groups of people who were oblivious to everyone else around them and totally ignored any type of 6 foot space. Even a staff member who was unmasked continued to approach me (masked )to talk about something-disregarding my "No, thankyou"'s and my backing away from him. I just found it surprising during Covid. I think it would work better if there was perhaps an overall limit on the number of people in the building at one time so there is more ability to have some distance from others.

Excellent museum for all ages. Interactive and informative with recent updates. Free entrance after 3pm. Closed Monday. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. And beach short walk away.

Ft Pierce Inlet State Park

Half-mile beach offering swimming, fishing, surfing, scuba diving & more, plus bird-watching.

Slide 1 of 3

This is a great place for outdoor activities. It is 6$ a car to get in to the park and there are lots of things to do! When we were here we did the clear kayaking tour. This needs the be reserved ahead of time and is 55$ a person. It was worth every dollar. The guide is hilarious and knowledgeable! He takes you through the mangroves and to a secluded sandbar. This tour was around 3-4 hours long. We saw a lot of sea life! We can't wait to go on another tour here.

Great beach! You have to pay to get in but totally worth it. We chose the “cove side” (there is a fork in the road and you can chose the Cove or the Beach side) the Cove side had some excavators digging up sand for a nearby location and my 3 year old went nuts seeing the equipment digging just like him. The Beach side was also amazing. We went right around low tide and it was great for little ones.

Sensational state park. Great beaches. Perfect sand. Picnic tables nearby and clean restrooms. Kayaking rental available. Fishing to your hearts content. There's a little wildlife trail nearby too. But the beach and surfers are the main show. Plan a day during the week when it's less crowded. Bring your swimwear and enjoy!

Well, yes is a beautiful place to walk and go fishing people seems to be really happy. I don’t like the memorial plates on all the stones that’s creepy and not enjoyable to watch

This is one of my favorite beaches in Florida! You can go snorkeling if the tide is right; it's definitely all about timing! The water visibility can be pretty clear, and the wildlife are plentiful! Nearby and within walking distance are a few small restaurants and shops for your convenience. There's also a boardwalk that is parallel to the jetty. April 2022 - what a great place. The kids loved this place and we had a hard time getting them to go. In the building they have some games you can play. Restrooms, a little museum about the animals, Florida water, ect. Very cool place to visit and we have no wait. Their is a trail but we didn't go that far. It was really hot outside for us with 3 daughters under 10. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing place to learn about and see Florida marine wildlife! They have stingrays in a touch tank you can feed, a huge pond/aquarium with tons of fish, sea turtles, an octopus, and a nature trail. Well worth the $16 to get in. The whole experience was great and the programs were lots of fun. This is a great place for the whole family to check out. I'll definitely be coming back here.

Very pleasant place to visit. Charged 8 dollars per child and 16 dollars for adults. The children were able to feed and pet the stingrays and invertebrates. View the very large saltwater turtles and fish. It was easy to spend 2 hours. Very informative.

Bathtub beach is awesome if you have young kids or want to go into the water and not worry about the tide. The reef is a great barrier and during low tide creates a shallow pool, which is why it is named bathtub beach. Parking is very difficult most days and is very limited. It does have a gazebo, one shower, and a bathroom.

Beach is wide with hilly beach. Sand is coarse (shells). Very clean. Sections of the beach have nice shallow waters for children so it's very popular. Also near the very end of Hutchinson Island. A rock reef off shore breaks with waves ... Very pretty.

A Handicap accessible beach!! YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY! There’s parking with sidewalks accessible for wheelchairs. There’s an handicap accessible overlook with a pavilion and sun deck. The beach is perfect for new and casual swimmers. The reef creates a lovely pool and sandbar.

Don’t come here expecting a San Diego Zoo… then you’ll have a great time! While it is small and humble, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter is always a joy to visit. It is completely free (and therefore relies on essential donations) and one can see a variety of native animals like alligators, panthers, snakes, and birds. Possibly the best part are the informational talks given every few hours, in which you can see animals up close! Highly recommend!

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary takes care of the rescued animals & birds till they are fit to return to their natural habitat. We have been there couple of times. Its a pleasure to visit there.

The sanctuary is a great place I bring kids. They are very educated on each animal and there is all kinds of species. PLUS it is a non-profit organization so it’s free, but of course, excepts donations.

Designed by Civil War hero Lieutenant George Gordon Meade, this working brick lighthouse has been under the Coast Guard's purview since…

This is a wonderful place to visit for history buffs and lighthouse fans. $12 admission gets you access to the museum, and the lighthouse itself. It's 35 steps up to the base, then 106 steps up the wrought iron spiral staircase to the top. The views and the 160-year-old Fresnel lens are worth the climb. Guided tours are informative, but not mandatory. Nice little gift shop, too.

This park is absolutely beautiful and very well kept. The banyan tree is breathtaking! The trails and pier is new with beautiful views. We went into the lighthouse. We are here in February. It is 80° today. We waited about 25 minutes to go up. Not bad at all! There are over 100 steep steps going up with landings for resting. There are also 30+ steps to get to the lighthouse itself so be aware of your ability before you pay the money. The staff is knowledgeable and polite. Definitely recommend!

Second time visiting in 10 years and still worth the day trip! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and ready to help in any way they can. The attendant as we waited to go to the tower gave us a lot of fun and engaging history behind the lighthouse build out as well as the majestic trees on the property! 105 stairs to the top worth the huff and puff lol as the views from the top are priceless! Very well kept grounds and a fun way to spend a Sunday!

DuBois Park. A great park and inlet with extensive options for recreation/entertainment. With great views of both the Jupiter inlet, as well as the Loxahatchee River, this park is beautiful. Additionally, in terms of recreation, it has it all. A safe space to walk, run, bike, swim, and fish. The beach and trails provide excellent coverage, and the waterways are quite interesting. Lastly, the pier and boat slips offer effective ways to launch or keep small boats, as well as fish, a safe distance from possible swimmers. Overall, a great park.

Fantastic beach for the kids. Super impressed with this city park. When the tide goes out, it's so shallow you can walk out almost to the bridge. Bathrooms. Playground. Picnic tables. Lifeguard in the summer busy times. Cross the bridge to explore me, or go to the old museum house. Bring your own kayak and go up the mangrove creek.

1. Parking was free and plenty, which is unheard of in South Florida. I had to check if I was not imagining it. 2. The shallow swim/snorkel area for kids is amazing. Adults are welcome as well. Nice way to cool off and spend an afternoon. 3. The inlet is beautiful for a stroll or boat watching. 4. The beach itself is not that great, but overall the park is worth the visit.

Slide 1 of 3

We had Such an awesome experience today at the McCarthys wildlife sanctuary. I highly recommend it. We took a two hour guided tour and learned so much about all the animals. Our guide was awesome. You can tell she loves the animals. They are all well cared for and their habitats are all clean. Thank you, we will be back again.

Great sanctuary! Things were well organized, plenty of parking just outside the main gate. Our guide was well informed about the different animals, and there was even a chance to get up close and personal in the reptile house. There are restrooms, and a gift shop on site.

Very clean and healthy looking animals! organized and kind workers. It was a fun experience and I would recommend checking this place out if you want a little more personal setting Signed up for the tour on Friday. They have restrooms here but if you need to go during a tour you'll be escorted back. You stuck together as a group and are not allowed to wander off alone. Looks to have plenty of parking outside the premise. once inside, they have tables to sit underneath the shade as well as water bottles to buy You're allowed to touch the animals and handle them at your own risk as stated by the sign A very cool place that takes care of the animals here

The Square

Indoor-outdoor mall with refined Mission Revival architecture & palm-lined common areas.

Slide 1 of 20

Rosemary Square has been called an urban oasis, with its focus on destinations for health and wellness, arts and culture, and inspiration at every turn. Famously filled with giant outdoor murals painted by world-class artists, you’ll be inspired by the endless beauty and striking images before you even enter a single destination. You can even take a guided tour of the murals around town and learn from an expert about the artist, the history and the meaning of each massive piece.

City Place is great for shopping; the stores are laid out in a way that walking around them is a pleasant experience. Stop in Starbucks or Panera Bread for a coffee and treat before you get started, then make your way through any of the more than 40 stores ranging from high-end to budget friendly. There are staples like Gap, Banana Republic, Victoria's Secret, and Macy's as well as specialty stores like Sephora, Cache, and Anthropologie.

Revolutions at City Place is a high end bowling lounge situated between City Place and Clematis Street in West Palm Beach. There are over 30,000 square feet of space for you to bowl, drink, watch sports and play various arcade and billiard-type games. Food and drink are a priority here, as the menu is more than you'd expect from a typical bowling alley (which this is anything but).

While these spots are the best places to enjoy daytime delights, there’s much more to West Palm Beach than just brunch. Land Rover Palm Beach has a handy guide that also includes the best overall restaurants in the area, as well as exciting activities to enjoy in between meals near Wellington. Let us help you make the most of your stay in our dynamic city.

What used to be known as CityPlace is a bustling indoor-outdoor area that is now called Rosemary Square (The Square). It offers fun local restaurants and shopping, as well as live music. Whether you want to take a cooking class at Sur La Table or enjoy the live music offered weekly in The Square, there are endless options for fun.

Rosemary Square is West Palm Beach's premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination. Just a free trolley ride or walk from Clematis Street, you can shop in a place where old-world architecture, beautiful fountains and sidewalk cafes create a striking atmosphere reminiscent of a European town center.

With its Mediterranean architecture and public plazas, Rosemary Square is a premier shopping destination in Downtown West Palm Beach. The open-air, Italian-inspired property offers dozens of shops and dining options, including Anthropologie, Restoration Hardware, 4D Gelateria and Brother Jimmy’s BBQ.

Also known as the CityPlace, Rosemary Square has a beautiful Mediterranean old-world aesthetic, making it one of the most intriguing places to visit in West Palm Beach.

Rosemary Square has everything you need for a successful day of shopping. There are specialty stores for jewelry, makeup, clothing, home furnishings, and more. We especially recommend a visit to Restoration Hardware, a four-story design gallery that features estate gardens and a rooftop park.

Rosemary Square is one of my favorite places to visit because it has everything – shopping, dining, a movie theater, and even a comedy club. For food, you can take your pick of Japanese, Mexican, Tuscan, or Southwestern dishes. For drinks, you can find wine and craft beer here too!

Ride the Trolley to Rosemary Square, an outdoor shopping experience with plenty of restaurants, and a movie theatre for when you just need some high-powered air conditioning and a comfortable seat. Store hours: Monday to Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday: noon to 6 p.m.

If you are heading to West Palm Beach, you’ll find that there are restaurants, shops, and entertainment located in The Square. So you’ll most likely be visiting The Square more than once. The Square is West Palm Beach’s newest neighborhood, and the place you’ll want to be!

Whether you’re a pro bowler or like to bowl just for fun, Revolutions in West Palm Beach just for you. This high-end lounge is over 30,000 square feet for bowling, drinking, and food. Watch the current sports games and have fun playing the arcade games all night.

Rosemary Square (also known as “The Square”), is an exciting entertainment and retail centre with Mediterranean themes. Here tourists can spend all day without seeing everything. This vibrant downtown area has been voted one of South Florida’s top attractions.

Craving a dynamic shopping experience on your South Florida trip?. Set your sights on Rosemary Square. Located in the heart of City Place, the square bursts with shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

The Square is a picturesque area that is lively with shops, restaurants, and activities. The center of the entire area boasts an enormous tree lined with LED lights that change colors. During the summer, they have active water spouts in the ground for kids to play in. They also bring out snow machines as well. In winter, they have a variety of food trucks make an appearance with warm holiday snacks. The restaurants around here are all incredible and not super fine dining, allowing it to be accessible to all. The shops are more on the higher end. Parking is so simple, and I personally recommend parking in the Hibiscus garage. It’s affordable and connected right to the entire area.

Beautiful place even just to walk around. Plenty of public parking for a fair price, they even have valet parking if you dont want to spend time looking around. Super clean with some nice store and restaurant option. Really well maintained and easy to navigate.

Wow! Let’s first complement the gardening in this area. I know they have to spend millions of dollars just in the landscaping alone. It is absolutely gorgeous! All of the areas are super classy and well-kept. The vibe is so amazing. It definitely gives me cantina vibes more on the cultured experience. All of the beautiful variety of plants and flowers as well as the artwork on all of the streets and walls are beyond beautiful! What a day. You could literally walk the circle go to lunch go shopping and spend an entire day here! I know I did!

Henry Morrison Flagler Museum

Artwork & antique furnishings adorn this stately Gilded Age–era mansion built for an oil tycoon.

Slide 1 of 23

The Flagler Museum was built in 1902 and was the former home of Henry Flagler who was the co-founder of Standard Oil. This extravagant mansion house features two floors and stretches over an impressive 100,000 square feet. It is known for being decorated in a flamboyant style that features everything from influences of a Swiss chalet, to touches that are reminiscent of Louis XIV. There are also paintings and works of art from some of the most talented artists in the West Palm Beach area and beyond, and visitors will notice touches of Spanish and French decorative styles, especially around the central courtyard.

During its heyday in the early part of the 20th century, the general consensus was that Palm Beach rivaled the traditional overseas beach destinations of the uber-wealthy like Monaco and the French Riviera. The Flagler Museum on Whitehall Way in Palm Beach is on the grounds of the historic Whitehall Mansion, which was a wealthy local man’s estate often referred to as the grandest private dwelling in the world. The museum features art, cultural, and historical exhibits, and offers an especially fascinating insight into the lives of the well-heeled in years past.

I was so choked that the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum was under construction when I visited Palm Beach because it’s such a beautiful spot!. In fact it’s so beautiful that when it was finished in 1902 the New York Herald said that Flagler’s estate in Palm Beach was “more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world.”. Today, Whitehall is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public as the Flagler Museum, offering self-guided tours, changing exhibitions, and special programs.

This museum is housed in the spectacular 1902 mansion built by Henry Flagler as a gift for his bride, Mary Lily Kenan. The beaux arts–styled Whitehall was one of the most modern houses of its era and quickly became the focus of the winter season. Designed by John Carrère and Thomas Hastings, both students of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and collaborators on other Gilded Age landmarks such as the New York Public Library, the elaborate 75-room house was the first residential home to feature a heating system.

Take a little trip back in time in this fully restored mansion built by Standard Oil founder Henry Flagler. It is truly an homage to the luxury of the early 1900s and the foundational era of Palm Beach’s glory days, with ornate architecture, a rich art collection, and even the original (restored) rail car that Flagler traveled in up and down Florida’s east coast. The museum also has a significant exhibit paying homage to that railroad, which Flagler himself dreamt up and funded.

The Flagler Museum is housed in what was once the home of Henry Morrison Flagler (1830-1913), a hotel and railway multimillionaire who also had a love for fine art. As with the Nortons, Flagler’s personal collection became the basis for the museum. Only Flagler has the pride of being both the founder of Florida’s first museum and the one whose leadership transformed Florida into a vacation paradise with a thriving economic foundation.

I was so choked that the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum was under construction when I visited Palm Beach because it’s such a beautiful spot!. (Video) 13 Best Backyard Ideas. In fact it’s so beautiful that when it was finished in 1902 the New York Herald said that Flagler’s estate in Palm Beach was “more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world.

If your kids take a shine to the highbrow, the Flagler Museum is sure to delight. When it was completed in 1902, newspapers described this 100,000 square-foot, 75-room mansion as “more wonderful than any palace in Europe.” Families enjoy seeing the opulent decor and gold-encrusted details, all of it straight out of a Downtown Abbey episode. Be sure to pick up a kid’s activity guide at the entrance.

Occupying the mansion that Standard Oil founder Henry Flagler built for his wife in 1902, this museum recreates the luxury of the early 20th century. The Beaux-Art style structure was saved from the wrecking ball in 1959 and restored to its original magnificence by Flagler's granddaughter. Today, its many rooms feature ornate architecture, regal furnishings, and a wealth of art.

The New York Herald described this West Palm Beach attraction as “more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world.”. The building was originally the private residence of Henry Flagler, Florida’s original railroad magnate. Today, this 75-room Gilded Age mansion features neoclassical Beaux-Arts architecture.

The destinations, events, cultural experiences and downright fun of Palm Beach, Florida, simply never end. There’s just too much going on to explain it all at one time. The Don and Ann Brown Theatre, Antique Row, the Winter Equestrian Festival (the largest equestrian festival in the world), the Palm Beach Wine Festival — the list goes on and on.

The museum was home to Henry Flagler in the early 20th century, and it stands today as a relic of the Gilded Age’s grandeur. The estate, called Whitehall, is a 75-room mansion featuring stunning gardens and breathtaking architecture. The museum also hosts various exhibits about Gilded Age politics, art, and fashion.

There’s a lot of history to share, and the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum is one of the best places to find out about local and national history. Built in 1902, this estate served as Henry Flagler’s estate. Today, it’s a museum, and visitors can explore exhibits, take guided tours, and enjoy special programs.

The Flagler Museum needs to be on your list of things to do in West Palm Beach. The New York Herold said it is “more wonderful than any place in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world.”. This museum is open to the public with guided tours, exhibits, and programs.

The Flagler Museum is a gilded-age museum dedicated to Henry Flagler’s estate in West Palm Beach that was built in 1902. You can spend a quiet afternoon exploring the corridors of this once magnificent estate. The Flagler Museum offers both guided and self-guided tours for their various art exhibits.

Located across the lagoon in Palm Beach, the museum occupies a stunning historic Edwardian mansion. Even without its history museum, the lovely home is one of the top West Palm Beach points of interest. The picturesque historical landmark has been been in the Flagler family for decades.

One of the best things to do in West Palm Beach for exploring its fascinating past is to visit Henry Morrison Flagler Museum. Also called Whitehall, Henry Morrison Flagler Museum is a Gilded Age estate featuring 75 rooms. The construction of this palatial building was completed in 1902.

This luxurious 75-room Gilded Age mansion of Henry Flager is a national historic landmark and one of the gems of the Palm Beach, Florida. It is a must visit for any first time visitor in the area and has many cool spots for capturing some amazing Instagram worthy shots.

Always a great time!! Had not been in 10 years and love that they have acquired old pieces to the museum. Please don’t “rush” through the museum. It’s full of history and wonderful treasures. My only complaint is that I was there at 9:50 waiting for opening. The lady setup the Exit booth instead of the entrance booth. Staff shortage due to ‘Covid’

This place is top notch! Do your research about the Flagler's before you come to fully appreciate their legacy in the Gilded Age. There is a small history room in the mansion, but that area was packed! Otherwise, we loved the home. It was $18, including a headset. It's grandeur is out of this world!!!

A real Florida treasure. The grounds and estate are beautiful. Well worth the cost. Our tour included a free audio guide.

I walked around the Miami Metro Zoo in the middle of August a few years ago and wished I was dead. It was huge, and brutal, and suffocating in the Florida heat. Luckily for Palm Beach residents, the Palm Beach Zoo is comfortably smaller.

1301 Summit BoulevardWest Palm Beach, FL 33405(561) 547-9453. The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society offers many endangered animals a home in a 23-acre verdant tropical habitat.

Update on 1-3-22: I went back when it wasn't so crowded (you were right; winter break was the reason). The animals were very active and I was able to see more of them this time. The zoo staff gives informational talks about the animals outside their enclosure which is a nice touch. I had a very pleasant experience. I will be back again 12-27-21:It's crowded. Kinda small. Monkeys were far away on their island so couldn't see them too well. The tiger was out so I got to see him walk by a few times. The birds and reptiles were plentiful and colorful so that was fun to see. There's a splash pad and playground for kids to play on so that was cool. It's was an OK zoo.

Had the best day there! Saw so many animals. My favs were the Koalas and tiger! We had lunch there as well. Best burgers ever! Friendly staff. So much to see! A definite for the kids. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Florida.

So awesome! Definitely the best zoo we’ve been to in Florida thus far. Being New Yorkers, we visit Jupiter and Singer Island a couple times a year. We’re always up for new adventures that aren’t too far away. This was an excellent zoo! We had a blast :)

This fully enclosed mall is largest in Palm Beach County, with over 220 worldwide known brands stores (like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Sephora, and more) and 25 restaurants and eateries. Town Center is also family friendly with stroller rentals, nearby parks and a multitude of beaches!

Town Center Mall is one of Boca Raton’s top luxury entertainment destinations with hundreds of notable shops, boutiques and restaurants. It’s home to big names like Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Sears and Nordstrom, and delicious eateries like California Pizza Kitchen and Tobu.

This is a great mall! It is also really expensive! The mall has an Apple store that is wildly busy. The food court is usually busy and the Chick-fil-A is also usually slammed. They have a GameStop by the old Sears end of the mall. There are a lot of good restaurants. Capital Grill is the best amongst them. There is no inside mall entrance/ no mall access between capital grill and the mall. You can only get in from outside. This mall could really use some kids toy stores. I hope they put in a movie theatre where the Sears used to be. My wife says that it’s going to be more shopping though.

Great mall! Love coming here when I'm down in Boca. You have yourself trendy stores, great food places and restaurants, furniture stores, department stores, and luxury stores. The mall is beautiful in and out. I always feel bougie, comfortable, and clean when I come here. Just wish they would have more designer stores in the mall area like Balenciaga, Fendi, Dior, Burberry, etc in the mall part by LV and not in Saks or the other department stores.

Love shopping at Macy's. It's a great store. I was just there the other day just browsing and I found a really nice shirt that was on sale plus I had a coupon. The Staff is great; friendly, polite, helpful and accommodating. They have some great buys when their is a sale. They are handicapped accessible, parking lot is big.

Sugar Sand Park

132-acre park with a children's science center, performing-arts theater, gym & nature trails.

Slide 1 of 20

Having won several awards including the title of "Best of the Best Parks" in 2007, Sugar Sand Park in Boca Raton is a municipal park that was developed by the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District. Currently operated by the City of Boca Raton, Sugar Sand Park sports 132 acres of land and maintains its commitment to increase the presence of recreation and culture for both Boca Raton locals and transient visitors alike. Sugar Sand Park offers some engaging family fun and general activities through venues such as the Willow Theatre, the Children’s Science Explorium, and Field House (which, by the way, has its very own indoor gymnasium—how cool).

One of the most child and family-friendly of all South Florida’s destinations, the Children’s Science Explorium at Sugar Sand Park deserves a coveted spot on the itinerary of those traveling with little ones. The park’s activities and exhibits focus on the fascinating world of science and encourage children to roll up their sleeves and get active, not stand at a distance and look. Featuring two popular outdoor trails, the Sand Pine and Slash Pine trails are appropriate for most ages and lead visitors through interesting wild landscapes.

A post shared by Sugar Sand Park-Boca Raton, FL (@sugarsandpark) on Dec 21, 2018 at 4:55am PST. Eye Candy Appeal: This family-focused destination boasts a lovely park and an interactive Children’s Science Explorium that makes for great feed fodder. The Shot: Reminiscent of turn-of-the-century fair rides, the park’s carousel wows with various forms of illumination, 30 horses, and chariots.

On the hunt for a family-friendly crowd-pleaser with loads of outdoor activities?. Pack up the gang and head to Sugar Sand Park, one of the best places to see in Boca Raton on a family vacation. Hop on the carousel, hike the nature trails, and burn off energy in the amazing underwater-themed Science Center playground, where a massive face “watches” as you play.

Sprawled across 132 acres, Sugar Sand Park is another ideal engagement session location in Boca Raton. The park has many outdoor activity areas that can be perfect for a fun-themed photo session. One of the highlights of this place is its well-lit, beautifully decorated carousel, which doubles up as a splendid backdrop for your engagement photos too.

This is a lavish 132 acre family entertainment spot that hosts various activities that attracts both children and adults. For children there is a playground, science explorium and water park, and as for adults there are athletic courts, nature trails and full modern gyms. There is a theatre which the visiting families enjoy a great deal.

When it comes to outdoors-y things to do in Boca Raton, you need to be making a beeline to Sugar Sand Park. This municipal park is where it’s at for a chilled time walking amongst nature. Here you’ll find nature trails to wander along, and also a whole lot of food trucks where you can grab an ice cream or some snacks to keep you going.

Years ago, the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District developed 132 acres of what is now known as the beautiful Sugar Sand Park. The city of Boca Raton currently operates the park dubbed as the “Best of the Best Parks” in 2007. In 2017, it reopened after major renovations to make the park accessible to persons of all abilities.

This unique 155-seat theater is located in the depths of Sugar Sand Park, one of Boca Raton’s most popular natural parks. The Willow Theater can be visited Tuesdays through Saturdays, however opening hours may change depending on the time of year. And best of all, did you know that the Willow Theater is available for rent?!

The truth is “park” hardly encapsulates what you’ll find at Sugar Sand. The 132-acre activity center is more like an amusement park, but it’s free and bustling year-round with opportunities for fun. The Community Center offers a variety of worthwhile cultural arts programs and events.

From Business: This 20-acre coastal preserve is a destination you don’t want to miss!. Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is surrounded by a rare remnant of tropical hardwood hammock,…

Sitting at the north edge of Red Reef Park, this nature center was founded in 1984 to protect the region’s sea turtles.

I walked on the Gumbo Limbo boardwalk that’s between Ocean Blvd. Parking which is to the south and attached to the Golf Course and the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. The boardwalk is almost half a mile with a couple of side trails. You can go into the Nature Center for free but they ask for donations. Suggested $5.00 donation per person. That’s a great deal. I’m sure it’s only a small part of what keeps this place running. There is also a gift shop off the main room that has very nice gifts. Everything is a bit expensive but you are helping to support Gumbo Limbo so it’s fine. My wife got a nice canvas shoulder bag with a turtle on it. Now that the Nature Center is reopened to the public I went there with my wife and my mother. I didn’t really know what to expect inside the Nature Center. Once inside there are a few exhibits to look at. The woman at the desk asked us if we needed a map and suggested that we go to see the Turtle talk downstairs. We just happened to arrive just before this talk was starting So we headed off down to the lower lever. There is a long ramp that switches back for wheelchair or walkers to easily use. There were about 20 people there listening to the talk. It was about the different turtles in the tanks there. She explained a little about each turtle and why it was there. Gumbo Limbo is made up of four different parts. Boardwalk, Turtle rescue, Fish, Butterfly garden. The butterfly garden is on the north end and it has a path called Ashley Trail that heads around and down to the intercoastal where there is a small beach and bench. It’s a good place to relax and look at the water. Entering the water is not allowed. The Outdoor Marine Aquariums are amazing. Two large tanks about three feet deep with windows so you can view the fish swimming from above or through the windows plus another two tanks over ten feet deep that you view through large windows. We spend a long time watching the fish, rays, turtles, eels moving around the tanks. Signs identify each of the different species. Gumbo Limbo is run by both paid employees and volunteers. Talking to one volunteer she said that they are made up of year round and some snow bird volunteers. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We will be back to both walk the boardwalk and to visit the Nature Center.

We can’t believe this place is free! So many fabulous learning opportunities for the kids. We enjoyed learning about so many sea creatures and seeing animals in rehabilitation. Great place to spend part of a day!

Wonderful place to visit. No cost. Butterfly garden and outside areas have mosquitoes so off could be helpful for a leisurely walk. Haha. They love me. They have a great rescue and treatment program for the sea turtles there.

With over 50 restaurants and shops to choose from, there is always something exciting to do.

The Wolf Gallery is technically not a gallery nor museum, but it deserves recognition for its uniqueness and contributions to art in Boca Raton. Wolf Gallery resides in the heart of Mizner Park, a 7,500 square foot gallery including restored vintage collectibles, antiques, 3D and 2D art, rare memorabilia, and more. A grassy promenade welcomes visitors, while the picturesque, triple-layer fountain bursts forth from the area's center. Racks has become another Mizner Park must-visit thanks to the tavern’s welcoming atmosphere and super-friendly staff. Of course, the diversity of their menu definitely hasn’t hurt, either. Whether you’re looking for classic American comfort food or a surprisingly diverse assortment of sushi selections, Racks sets out to please any taste palette, food or drink!

I have been taking photos at Mizner Park since my junior year prom at Boca High (circa 1999) and there’s a reason for that!. Pretty pink buildings and gorgeous gazebos and fountains make for great pictures. I specifically saved this location for my daughter’s 5th birthday photo shoot and coordinated our dresses and balloons accordingly.

Mizner Park unlocked its doors in 1989, and further expanded in 1996 with a Jacobson’s department store. The 398,000 sq ft open-air venue’s architecture is inspired by a scene reminiscent of a delightful European City. It is elegantly landscaped with fountains, gazebos, and lavish tropical gardens.

What a great place for an out door concert. The park itself offers restaurants for dining before and after a show. Easy parking. Saw 3 Doors Down and it was epic. Sound was great. Great places to hang out after the show walking distance from the stage.

FLA Live Arena

Large event space hosting music performances plus Florida Panthers ice hockey games.

Slide 1 of 3

Absolutely fantastic arena. Went to 2 games. Easiest access to get to out of all the pro team stadiums I've been to ever. It's the ideal spot to have a pro team. Lots of parking. No real traffic jam action over long periods. Probably the cleanest stadium I've ever been on. All the working staff were super friendly. Only downfall is the concessions and pro shops are definitely high priced. But every where else is too. But the whole experience made me a Panthers fan for life. Thank you to the front office and especially Zach. He went above and beyond. Much Respect.

Went to see Marco Antonio Solis in concert. The show was amazing. The staff was excellent. I want to share some details about my experience, I feel weird that all the beverages were opened after they were bought (water, beer, juice or soda), even for the water bottle it wasn't possible to keep the bottle cap. The parking fee was a little expensive ($35) Only the credit/debit card was accepted. So far, the experience was incredible, I would recommend this place.

I had an amazing experience going to watch my first two hockey games. First of all, the parking was very simple and fast. Then, getting to your seats was a 2 minute process if you get there 30 minutes early. The views were good and it was a fun experience. The food though was a large portion for maybe $30. There is a shop where you can get fl panthers merch. I highly recommend it for all ages.

Set in Sunrise, 1.5 km from BB&T Center, Sawgrass offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is around 1.8 km from the guest house Mills Mall, 7 km from Frank Veltri Tennis Center and 2.7 km from Bank Atlantic Center.

The best shopping experience ever! Seems to have every name brand that exit; 400 stores! Could be a little overwhelming. Definitely wouldn’t take a toddler or small child. Also plenty of places to eat like Texas de Brazil, Cheesecake Factory, Seasons, then food court.

If you like shopping, get your comfy shoes ready because you will walk for hours visiting each store when in shopping mode. Even if you're getting a couple of things, you might stay and walk a little longer than planned. Great selection of brands, stores and good deals. If you don't like crowds, I recommend going first thing in the morning, you'll great parking spots and a fast in and out experience.

Good place to buy clothes, perfumes and stuff luxury, I don’t recommend to go at night, shops close really early…like 8 pm, even the restaurants and caffe close at the same time. The place is clean and with no too much noise. The sellers don’t push you to buy, thanks god.

Fort Lauderdale beach One of the most beautiful beaches to exist in the entire planet. One can easily debate how can just a beach be so different and beautiful and compared to other beaches, but what they fail to realise is what lies around the beach matters too. Fort Lauderdale is a bustling town with ever so humble people and full of culture. The beach road is lined with cool shacks and big big prestigious hotels that can cater to your wildest requests and host the most amazing parties you would have ever witnessesd. The beach itself is lined with beautiful lush green palm trees, that is perfect for photos and otherwise just guides you to the pristine white sand. The white walls that separates the road from the sand is divided into segments for tower areas with very thoughtful names and artistic gates. The water is clean all the year round. In monsoon months a number of turtle nests can be spotted. I was there at the fourth of July when the city hosted a beautiful concert with country and rock singers. I was also able to witness a turtle nest hatching which is beautiful. And at the night there were spectacular fireworks

We came for the air show and this is my favorite beach I’ve ever been to! The sand was clean, the people were nice, and the water was perfect.

The Bonnet House Museum and Gardens is a treasure. I was blown away visiting this lush and beautiful 35 - acre subtropical estate. The tour was educational, informative and historical. I am eager to learn more by reading Bonnet House: a Legacy of Artistry and Elegance because I found the owner's history fascinating. The House has delightful decorative elements in each room and the courtyard is serene and stunning. It was not crowded on a Sunday in September. They have it lit up for Christmas for several nights in December, and they hold concerts outside Jan - March. I can't wait to go back !

Interesting story of this family's history. Not a swanky residence, it wasn't intended to be. A winter home designed for these creative souls. Nice walk of the grounds. A beautiful setting for events. Recommended if you're in the area. See what 19th, early 20th century life was like. Built based on the owners concept by the owner and helpers.

Came here on Jan, there was no flowers at all. The garden looked extremely plain, the house had spider map on the windows. It doesn't worth $20 per person. On the bright side, I managed to take some nice pictures.

Beach extremely peaceful and beautiful on a sunrise. Great place to go with family for beach days, you can bring your tent, chairs, bathrooms available. Diversity of restaurants, street music concerts. Bike rides, scooters rides available on broad walk. Only one cons if it is windy its not very pleasant stay on beach as flying sand.

The best beach for families! We absolutely loved it. A lot of local friendly natives to get advice from. It’s clean. There’s lifeguards. The sand is soft right next to the ocean. The waves were really calm and we were there. Plus there’s seagulls to feed everywhere. Definitely would go again.

I always love a beach that you could walk on for miles and miles. You can easily choose to relax, walk on the beach or walk on the "broadwalk" (aka boardwalk except for here because of that name of the street I suppose. 😆) This is a well maintained area with so much to do. They have it all. Lots of restaurants, places to shop, places to get drinks, many public bathrooms, public water fountains, the beach is very clean and well supervised with lifeguards. There are busy areas and for me I personally enjoy the peaceful quiet sections of this beach. Go enjoy and pick your spot. Beaches

Hollywood Beach is known for its Atlantic Ocean-facing beaches and "Old Florida" feel. Locals and visitors skate, cycle, stroll, and ride foot pedal buggies along Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, a palm-lined brick promenade with tiki bars, seafood eateries, motels, and hotels, including the splashy Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. The bandshell hosts free concerts while kids play at the waterside Charnow Park.

Slide 1 of 4

Walk off your breakfast at the Aventura Mall, a beautiful locale with top brands like Chanel, Fendi and Givenchy, as well as mall staples like Zara and Anthropologie. For those of you who want a little more variety (or for those that don't like shopping), you can stop at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, where there is something for everyone. Guests have the option to enjoy the casino, horse racing, live entertainment and more.

This is one of my favorite malls in south florida. There is large selection of great shops from basic retail to luxury brands. There is something for everyone here, including a delicious selection from restaurants and a movie theater inside the mall. A lot of the new architecture is also impressive, especially the large slides at the front.

Huge mall with entry of places to shop including Bloomingdale's and places to eat including The Cheesecake Factory. AMC movie theater is also there for a nice movie before or after shopping or eating Free parking. The palm trees are decorated with white lights which adds a luxurious decor. This place is beautiful and pretty big. Public bus transportation is also onsite here.

I love all the new updates they made In this mall is completely changed it has everything it even has a special spot to take photos which I definitely recommend doing for your social media or Instagram pages. They have high scale restaurants and shopping I love to shop here I’m gonna include some photos of my shopping day!
