Synopsis

Yuu Izumi is a high school student whose life is filled with misfortune. Ever since he was young, he would always return home with injuries. Due to his unlucky disposition, his days are full of nothing but unfortunate events—that is, until he started dating Micchon Shikimori.

One can describe Shikimori as the perfect girlfriend: cute, adorable, and unbelievably in love with Izumi. However, she is occasionally not so charming; instead, she becomes the coolest girlfriend in the scariest way possible! Her demanding presence and earnest concern for Izumi's wellbeing never ceases to take his breath away. Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san, originally released under the title Kawaii dake ja Nai Onnanoko Manga, is a web manga released on the author's Twitter account from September 8, 2018 to February 2, 2019. Official serialization began in Magazine pocket on February 2, 2019.

The series has been published in English as Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie by Kodansha Comics USA since October 27, 2020. It has also been published in French as Shikimori n'est pas juste mignonne by Meian since December 22, 2021.

Read this if you want to give yourself depression because you will never have a relationship this perfect. Let's be honest - this is not the manga about simple school love, but about our dreams about perfect girlfriend who will never be with us. I love this manga so much that i read it in one time and i am waiting for the new chapters. But be aware because this manga is like drugs. I want to say this was a good manga cause I enjoyed it but when I look at myself I see desperate person who avoids reality

This manga can be very boring. In a way.

Let me start with this. You have an awesome premise. A guy with so much bad luck that he could be struck by lightning on a clear day and a girl who is so cool and reactive I swear she can catch a bullet with eye lids. I mean like block the bullet and live, with zero damage. Yet they do not utilize this much in the story.

Who does Shikimori end up with?

Despite her inherent popularity, however, Shikimori often opts to spend time with Izumi over most others, and is shown to deeply love him as her boyfriend.

Does kamiya like Shikimori or Izumi?

She is shown to have feelings for Izumi, but this is quickly resolved. After becoming friends with Shikimori, she apologizes to Nekozaki for turning down her offers to hang out together, and becomes friends with her as well. Like Shikimori, she's easy to provoke into accepting a challenge.
