Smok Vape Pen 22 light blinking 4 times

After doing a little research, as I do not have one of these, I think I can explain. If you go to info page on Smok site you will see that the tank does not come off like a traditional tank. The bottom of the tank is the top of the battery. You have to empty all the juice out, take the glass off, then unscrew the coil. At that time you can then access the center pin to gently lift it as described above, or clean out any juice that has seeped past the o-rings, or clean out what ever is shorting the coil to the battery. A search of the web for "Smok 22 troubleshooting" revealed a bunch of issues with these either shorted or open, with suggestions on how to fix each issue. Way too much for me to try and list here. Hope this helps.

Sound like it might have taken a dump. Have you tried a different charge just for the heck of it ?

Just looked at the user manual. When the light blinks 4 times It's a short or the resistance is lower than.1 ohms or greater than 2.5 ohms. Try getting some more coils. Maybe the one you have even though it is new is bad. Also take out the coil and take a damp paper towel and clean out any juice or condensation in the top of the battery and then dry it with a dry paper towel. Hope you get it working I love my vape pen 22.

Yeah looks like it's not gonna work. I'm pretty sure i have a warranty on it though so ill just take it back to the vape shop. I really appreciate the help.

Hey guys
just got smoke x8 stick a last friday and all be going well
but 10-15 mins ago when i fire the LED blinks 4 times
2. Resistance protection:when the atomizer resistance is lower than 0.1 ohm or higher than 2.5 ohms,the LED light will blink 4 times and the battery will automatically shut down the output.
i have the usual 0.25 M2 coil in....

but when i give it a half turn it works, but the tank is not tight to the battery now ?
any ideas ?

not even a half turn like a 1/8, put in a new coil and been vaping for about 1 hour before it started happening

Also check the coil is screwed in right. As I recall the bit that sticks out the coil makes contact with the pin in the bottom of the tank and pushes it down. Check that’s ok and all seems tight. It might be you’re coil’s a brokey.

Not sure if it's relevant to your problem, but make sure you keep the 510 threads clean, on the mod and tank
Make sure that no part of your coil is making contact with the deck or the dome. And make sure the coil is screwed in tight, but not too tight.
These are tips I've picked up, but I am a rookie. Others should help you more

Blinks 4 times for short circuit and connection issues between the vape battery and coil. This typically means your coil is no longer working and needs to be replaced.

How do I reset my Smok vape?

You can reset a SMOK vape by simply unscrewing the tank on top of the mod and then screwing it back on top; when this is done, the mode will read that a coil has been detected and will ask you if this is a new coil or the same coil resistance of your previous coil by asking 'Is This A New Coil?'

Why is my Smok pen not working?

SMOK Vape Pen V2 Not Hitting Dissemble the tank and remove the atomizer coil. Use a cotton swab to clean the threading at the top of the SMOK Vape Pen V2 and to absorb any e-liquid that may have found its way under the atomizer coil. Reassemble the tank and try again.
