A new NSFW statue figurine of Yor from Spy x Family is dividing fans as its “Luxury” option features a nude version of the popular character. Show As any fan understands, the figurine and model statue industry is vitally important to the wider anime and manga industry; providing a level of fan support, income and engagement that serves to only aid a particular series or franchise. However, in the world of model statues and figurines, NSFW and ‘lewd’ versions can often be a sticky talking point, with some fans accepting them as a part of the community whilst others argue their expletive nature is rather crass. This week, a new NSFW statue of Yor is going viral around the world, as Spy x Family fans argue the merits of the figurine and its hefty price tag.

View Tweet New Spy x Family NSFW Yor statues revealedThis week, a new NSFW statue of the Spy x Family matriarch Yor Forger has been revealed and it’s safe to say that fans are certainly divided about its ‘Luxury’ option – which includes a “changeable naked body and base.” The 1/6 figurine set is currently available to preorder on various websites including Favor GK, Sugo Toys and Games Animation Collectables. The ‘Standard Version’ is currently listed for £187.11 (GAC), $278.99 (Favor GK) and AUD $359.95 (Sugo), including the basic character figurine and base. The NSFW ‘Luxury Version’ will cost Spy x Family fans £263.12 (GAC), $447.99 (Favor GK) and AUD $544.95 (Sugo), which includes “Standard version + Exchangeable naked body + Extra Base + Special bonus.” The statue will launch in Fall 2022, but a specific release window for the figurine has not yet been shared. However, there are Deposit payment options available on GAC and Favor GK for both versions that show significant reductions in total cost.
Reaction to NSFW Yor statue is certainly mixedThe reaction online to the new Spy x Family statue of Yor has certainly been met with a mixed response from fans – as many NSFW figurines often do in the modern anime community. A week of NSFW figurine announcementsAs many avid Twitter users will have surely come across, the NSFW figurine of Yor is not the only questionable anime statue being recently revealed. Last week, Banana Studio announced their next figurine of Eren from Attack on Titan. Whilst the pose and general design of the statue isn’t anything to cause major controversy, it’s the removable towel feature that has raised eyebrows. However, eyebrows aren’t the only thing getting raised with the NSFW Eren figurine, with ‘flaccid’ and ‘erect’ options also reportedly available.

View Tweet Manga sales continue to pass new milestonesAs the Spy x Family anime adaptation continues to rise in popularity around the world, the original manga series is also showing significant improvements in its global sales figures. In fact, on April 7th, just two days before the anime premiered, it was revealed that 15 million copies of the manga were in circulation. Then, only 10 days later, that number was increased to 16 million copies – and then to 17 million copies by the end of the month, including one million copies in France alone. This week, after the release of episode 5 “Will They Pass or Fail”, it was shared that the manga has now surpassed a fantastic 18 million copies worldwide!
