Watch the sky come to life under a brilliant rainbow of meteor-like showers at one of the multiple fireworks displays scattered throughout St. Louis City and County.

Fair St. Louis

Fair Saint Louis 2022, a three-day extravaganza, will take place Sat., July 2 through Mon., July 4 at the Gateway Arch grounds, Kiener Plaza and Ballpark Village in downtown St. Louis. The event will feature action-packed entertainment that includes family-friendly attractions, numerous concerts, concessions and a special mainstage Salute to the Troops and Folds of Honor ceremony — all culminating in the largest fireworks show over the Mississippi River, against the backdrop of the iconic Gateway Arch, that Fair St. Louis has ever produced.

Headlining groups to grace the various Fair St. Louis stages throughout the celebratory weekend include X Ambassadors, Tyler Farr, Rodney Atkins, Third Eye Blind and a ‘90s House Party with Coolio, Montell Jordan, Tone Loc, Young MC and Color Me Badd.

Over at Bally’s Sports Live! at Ballpark Village, the Gateway Legends Collegiate Invitational (GLC) will feature collegiate and high school teams competing in an indoor/outdoor esports experience. The GLC event will also feature free performances by local and regional bands and DJs.

In addition to the outdoor events at the Fair, visitors can also celebrate the holiday with a reading of the Declaration of Independence at noon on Sat., July 2 on the mezzanine level of the Gateway Arch National Park visitor center. Living History volunteers will be dressed in period clothing and performing dances as part of the 1822 Fourth of July. All visitors are welcome to stop by to talk to the performers, watch dancing or even to participate if they choose to.

America’s Birthday Parade

America’s Biggest Birthday Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on Sat., July 2, and will march through the streets of downtown. Now in its 139th year, the parade entertains with its elaborate floats, choreographed dances and performances from some of the country’s most talented marching bands.

Fireworks

While the downtown display is by far the largest in the region, fireworks will grace the night sky from dozens of other area Fourth of July events, among them:

JB Blast, Jefferson Barracks Veterans Memorial Amphitheater, Lemay – July 1
Honor our troops and country’s birth under the stars. Gates open at 5 p.m., concert begins at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks at dusk or 9:15 p.m.

Join the City Museum on the Rooftop for a 360 view of fireworks all across the St. Louis skyline. Tickets includes admission to the museum all day long and one complimentary beer 

Kirkwood Freedom Festival & Fireworks, Kirkwood Park, Kirkwood – July 4
Belly up to the food trucks starting at 5 p.m. Live music entertainment begins at 7 p.m., with fireworks at about 9:20 p.m.

The parade starts at 10 a.m., followed by the Celebration Festival at noon with music from Super jam at 2 p.m. and Dirty Muggs at 7 p.m. The evening is capped off with fireworks around 9:15 p.m.

Eureka Independence Day Celebration, Central Avenue, Eureka – July 2
Enjoy a performance by the Spectrum Band from 6-10 p.m. with fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Ellisville Independence Day Celebration, Bluebird Park, Ellisville – July 4
BBQ and drink vendors will be available as Griffin & The Gargoyles perform from 7-9:15 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Chesterfield 4th of July Fireworks Celebration, Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex, Chesterfield – July 4
