Start subject of email with “Music Submission:” and include artist name and song or album title
Don’t attach files to the email, best is sharing a link to something like Soundcloud, Bandcamp, etc or a file host like Dropbox.
Include a press shot of the artist that is at least 620×400 along with official artwork from the project
Include relevant information about the artist (bio, etc.)
Provide website links for further information on the artists (Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Personal Page, etc.)

We are a filter for our audience, if we would post every little snippet we get sent, our readers/listeners would get tired of following us.

Please do not repeatedly send us e-mails of the same content if you haven’t heard within two weeks of contacting us. Due to the volume of submissions, we can’t respond to everyone – only to those we decide to post/play.

The confirmation email will be sent within 7-10 days of your submission IF approved. You will also be provided a link in which you can monitor your tracks' airplay for a rolling period of 7 days.

STEP 1:

To be considered for Award Recognition and a Global Marketing Campaign spanning 150 Internet radio stations (including WNYR New York) and over 50 press, video, retail, licensing and live channels, please select your Submission Type and Genre and complete payment below before the end of this month.

By submitting your music, video or other creative content to WNYR New York and The Akademia, you hereby agree our Terms Of Service.

STEP 2:

Upon completion of payment, please email your Artist Photo (maximum 500 x 500 pixels) and your Song MP3(s) to . Please include your Artist Name, Website and PayPal Transaction ID in the email for reference purposes. For albums or EP's containing large file sizes, please use www.wetransfer.com.

STEP 3:

Our expert panel reviews your submission, ranks the artists in your category and announces the results on Awards Day (the 15th of next month). If you are a winner, you will be provided with full details regarding the Global Marketing Campaign, including radio play on 150 stations.
