He wanted to crawl straight in the beach so I wanted to find something that would keep him busy but yet be able to play with sand and water! This was perfect!!!! He loved it and it kept him occupied all day, on and off. We didn’t use the shade since we had a canopy up already for shade so not sure how strong the shade part of it is. Occasionally I get lucky and can get it back in the case but it's not easy. And I agree 100% ! Loved the little side shade that could be tied up so he could still see around him. However, the winds picked up the next couple of days and it was unusable since the top shade kept collapsing. We tried leveraging the wind to keep it up, but nothing worked and the stakes aren’t very long so it couldn’t withstand the wind and we ended up putting it away. It is very easy to fold and love how lightweight and compact it is, just wish it were more reliable on windy days, since those are frequent at the beach!! It was easy to put together with the zipper however folding it back up not so much. I couldn’t figure how to fold it back up with the top and bottom zipped together. Instead I just undo it and fold the two pieces separately. Comes with stakes to hold it into the ground and nice carrying bag. Material is good and blocks sun well. Worth it! 1.0 out of 5 stars Small! Doesn't shade from the sun . Pointless. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 6, 2019 Just received this for our beach trip this afternoon, totally disappointed! One side just sags down and would be touching any kid sat in it as it's quite small! The front wire doesn't go forward enough on the saggy side so all the sun comes straight I'm anyway! Pointless! Waste of money! No instructions to fold it back into the bag either. Not happy! Have emailed seller.awaitiing response, in the meantime I won't be able to take my daughter to the beach now :( very disappointed! 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for kids Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 15, 2019 Folds into good size and fit easily into our pram bag for travel. Was really helpful to have on holidays as couldn't always guarantee shade around villa/hotel/beach. Has little depression in the middle so if you are on sand can dig down but it's also fine if you're on flat ground.
