Each chicken breast is seasoned with a homemade dry rub then cooked right to the point and slathered with your favorite barbecue sauce. You’ll want to serve this recipe with an easy side dish like these air fried fingerling potatoes. Ingredients

  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts – Season the chicken breasts generously on all sides.
  • BBQ Sauce – Brush each chicken breast with bbq sauce and continue cooking.
  • Salt, Black Pepper, Granulated Garlic, Onion Powder, Cayenne Pepper, Ground Paprika and Ground Oregano – Mix the spices together and season the chicken.

Season the chicken breast on all sides with the dry spices and transfer to the air fryer to cook.

How To Make Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Breast

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  2. Pat dry each chicken breast with a paper towel.
  3. In a bowl, combine the salt, pepper, granulated garlic, onion powder, cayenne pepper, ground paprika and ground oregano. Mix to combine.
  4. Season the chicken on all sides with the dry rub.
  5. Spray the inside of the air fryer with a propellant free cooking spray.
  6. Transfer the chicken breasts to the air fryer and cook at 375 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until a kitchen thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast reads at least 155-160 degrees F.
  7. Brush the chicken with barbecue sauce on both sides and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked through and the kitchen thermometer reads 165 degrees F.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
