The Beginning after the end Tessia spoiler

I rushed towards the bathing room to get myself cleaned up. Stepping in the bath, I looked at the reflection in the water, a pair of big turquoise eyes looked back at me. Long gunmetal silver hair running down my waist, a slender body, pink bright lips, and sharp, long ears.

"So beautiful...", I mumbled, fascinated by the elegance of this body, MY body I reminded myself.

Apparently, this body was of an elven princess called Tessia Eralith. She was helping Agrona with his plan to defeat those genocidal deities of Epheotus who don't care about the life of a lesser being but was assassinated by a radical group of elves who thought of her as a traitor during the war.

Agrona chose this body for my vessel, so that she could fulfill her dream of giving the ancient mages their long-awaited justice and teach a lesson to these so-called deities. He asked me to carry her will, the will of this brave young elf so that she could rest in peace.

"Cecilia! Are you ready yet?", Nico shouted.

Oh- I forgot he was still waiting outside the room. "I-I am almost there", I replied.

"Please hurry up, Agrona is waiting for us "

"y-yeah"

I jumped out of the bath, dried myself, and wore the special black clothes engraved with several runes throughout them. The dress was made by Agrona to help me channel mana steadily throughout my body. Similar to my humungous ki pool in my past life, my mana pool was several times the size of an average mage's mana pool in this world. Agrona was really delighted to see the size of my mana pool.

After braiding my hair, I opened the door as I saw Nico leaning on a wall. He turned toward me and gave a faint smile. "shall we proceed?", he asked as he raised his hands in front of me and waited for me to hold. "We should not make Agrona wait any longer", I said with a faint smile, ignoring his gesture. His face fell as he pulled his hand back and said, "Y-yeah, sure, he is waiting".

We walked through the hallways, passing through many-branched ways which were leading to different halls, each hall serving its own purpose. There were several engrossing pictures engraved on the walls, each telling a different story. In one of the pictures, a tall man with horns, perhaps Agrona, was giving small ball-like crystals to the people kneeling before him, their heads down and hands raised in order to accept the crystals. What is it about? I wondered.

While I was admiring the walls, two tall Vritras came through a giant black door from our left. "This elf is weak and might die anytime, it will no longer be possible to continue our experiments on her." one of the Vritras said with disappointment. "We have to inform Lord Agrona before getting ourselves a new elf as the population of elves has decreased dramatically after those bastards of Kezess eradicated the Kingdom of Elenoir." the other Vritra stated, rage evident in his voice.

The elf might die? I thought, looking at the gate through which those horned asuras passed. What is going on behind that door?

"They are trying to find the most efficient ways to mix their blood with the people of Dicathen and also to determine the nature of magic the offspring will have if the Vritras mate with them", Nico said, as if answering my thoughts.

I looked at Nico's face hoping to find some traces of concern in his eyes regarding the elf who was about to die but he was deadpan. Was he always this cold towards others? No. He was a cheerful boy who used to love making artifacts but what happened? What happened to him that he became such a stone-hearted person?

"What happened Cecilia?", Nico asked. I didn't realize that I was staring at him for so long! "uh-uh n-nothing. Why do you ask?", I replied, looking away quickly. My cheeks turned red with embarrassment as I moved forward more swiftly. Nico followed after me as we reached in front of another giant black door but this one had a golden pattern running all over it, giving it a royal feel.

"Ah, welcome, welcome my dear Cecilia" a fruity voice welcomed us as we entered the hall. "Sorry to keep you waiting for so long master Agrona", I said bowing in front of the asura. "No need to apologize dear, I haven't been waiting for too long," he said while nodding his head in recognition of Nico's bow. "So shall we begin?" he asked, a smile forming on his greyish face.

I sat into a meditative position and so did Agrona in front of me while Nico stood leaning on a wall at the corner of the hall.

"Did you had any of those unnecessary dreams or thoughts ?", Agrona asked, his red eyes fixed at mine as if he was trying to look into my soul.

"Yes", I replied.

"And what were those about ?", he asked, raising a brow.

"I was in the Elshire forest, was kidnaped and then was rescued by... by a young boy ", I explained with uncertainty.

"And what was your age in the dream", he asked.

"About four or five"

"Hmm... close your eyes and let your mind loose, I'll do something about it", he said while straightening his back.

"I-is this the only way master Agrona?", I asked hesitatingly.

The asura stared at me for a moment and said, "You know Cecilia, I've already told u, those dreams you are having is just the body reacting to a new soul. It will eventually stabilize even if I do nothing about it, I'm just giving the process a boost cause we don't have enough time before Kezess sends his forces to destroy this world. Tessia Eralith is already dead and you are doing more than enough by taking on her will. I'm sure she will be happy right now that you are going to fulfill her dreams. ". He paused then continued "You have to do it for her and the people of Alacrya as well as Dicathen. Now close your eyes and let your mind loose. I'll be done with it in no time."

I nodded and followed his instructions. Soon I was isolated from the rest of the world, floating in nothingness as I felt an alien presence inside my head. The memories of the Elshire Forest resurfaced and started to slowly disappear as if they never existed. First of the memory where I was running in the woods got erased, then the memory of me getting caught and regaining consciousness in the back of the carriage got erased and lastly, the memory of me being afraid and thinking about my family got erased too.

They were gone, all of the feelings were gone but the face of the young boy came into view, it was no longer hazy. Several feelings started to overwhelm my mind as I felt unbearable pain in the area where my mana core is.

My eyes shot open, throwing Agrona out of my mind as I howled in pain. Nico was shocked by my cry and came forward to support me but I gestured him to stop, not wanting to get touched by him despite being in such a condition. I felt a green light coming from my mana core, it seemed... angry. The pain subsided slowly and I composed myself.

I saw Agrona looking at me, a frown on his face. "What was that Agrona? You said it was not dangerous in the slightest!", Nico yelled, his eyes red in rage.

Agrona narrowed his eyes and stared at Nico, giving off immense pressure. Nico averted his gaze, clinging his fist before releasing a deep breath, calming himself.

"You should go and rest for today dear Cecilia" Agrona said with a faint smile and walked out of the hall, giving Nico another meaningful look on the way.

I fell into my bed, thinking about the little boy. Closing my eyes I tried to recall his face, this time I was able to remember it clearly, he had auburn brown hair and large bright azure eyes, there were stains of dirt and blood on his face. I wonder who he was?

As I thought about him, several images started flashing before my eyes. I felt myself getting pulled into the images as if they wanted to show me something, something I wanted to know, I let my mind get pulled into one of the images.

I found myself traveling through the Elshire Forest with that boy.

Then I was suddenly in a combat room where the same boy but a little older than before was training with an elven old man, he's movements should have been impossible for anyone of his age.

After that I found myself hugging him and crying as he was about to leave me and return to his home after three years.

Then I found myself walking on the school grounds where I saw him again after a long, long time, he was looking more mature and...handsome.

Next, I saw him shielding me with his body from an accident during our class.

After that I found myself kissing him when he was on a bed still recovering from his injuries from the accident.

Then I saw him kissing me and asking for some time from me.

In the next one, I found myself awestruck as I saw him sitting on top of a huge pile of dead mana beast, looking down at us with cold azure eyes, giving me chills. He was back after training with the asuras, I thought he had become a heartless war machine but was relieved when he talked with me like his usual self.

Then I found myself standing on top of a hill with that boy, surprised by his sudden confession of love. Tears of joy ran down my face as we made a promise to start a proper relationship after the war ends. We both wore half of a heart-shaped pendant which he gave me as a reminder of our promise.

More visions from the images tried to come forth but they all disappeared as I screamed, holding my head which was bursting with crushing pain.

'uh- no! I'm sorry! Did I forced too many memories at the same time? ', a concerned, girlish voice rang into my mind.

I sat back up, frantically looking around. "Wh-who is this?" I asked as I kept looking around but found nothing.

'huh? Can you hear me now?' the voice asked with a little excitement.

I tried to determine the direction from which the voice was coming but failed, it felt as if someone was speaking directly into...my mind.

"Who?" I asked, confused.

'Who? Me? Oh, u know me already.' the voice replied.

"I know you already? I don't understand. Who are you? What is happening? Why can't I see you?" I asked, my voice came out way louder than intended.

'Alright, alright calm yourself down first.'

I took a deep breath and calmed myself as much as I can in the current situation and said "Please continue".
