A while ago L’BRI Skincare sent me some of their products to try out. So for just over a month, I’ve been testing out a new skincare line so that I can bring you my L’BRI Skincare review. Anytime I test out a new skincare line I spend at least a month trying the products and using them the way the brand recommends so that I can tell you my honest thoughts on how well the products worked for me.

As a refresher, I have sensitive, dry skin with rosacea and mild seborrheic dermatitis.

L’BRI Skincare is, of course, cruelty free. You can purchase them directly from their website. It looks like they also have a direct sales portion of their site, too.

About L’BRI Skincare

L’BRI Skincare caught my eye because they are a skincare company that uses aloe vera as their primary ingredient,  not water. Aloe vera gel is very healing and soothing to sensitive skin, rosacea, or dry skin. As someone with sensitive, dry skin, aloe is typically something that my skin loves, so I was intrigued by an entire skincare line based around this ingredient. You typically need 28 to 30 days to see a change in your skin with a new skincare routine. And you need to use that routine every day, without skipping. That’s why I spend at least 4 weeks with new products to see how my skin reacts to them.

Aloe vera is really a unique ingredient because it effectively treats sunburn, works as a moisturizer, has anti-inflammatory properties, is helpful with acne, has anti-aging properties, and contains a ton of nutrients. It contains Vitamin C, E, and beta-carotene, all of which give it skin nourishing properties. It’s rare, in my experience, to see a single skincare product that can work for both acne prone skin and dry skin, but it sounds like aloe vera is it!

L’BRI Skincare Gentle Cleanser

Price
$16.50

Ingredients
Aloe Vera Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Stabilized Gel) Sorbitol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Squalane, Passiflora Incarnata (Passion) Flower Extract, Ascophyllum Nodosum (Sea Algae) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Arnica Cordifolia Extract, Juniperus Communis Fruit Extract, Panax Ginseng Extract, Retinyl (Vitamin A) Palmitate, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B-12), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Allantoin, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Carbomer, Botanical Essence, Hinokitiol.

The L’BRISkincare Gentle Cleanser is a mild, creamy cleanser for normal to dry skin. It’s become my favorite cleanser because it’s gentle yet hydrating. A  single bottle is 6 oz, so you’re set for a few months with the giant bottle. Speaking of the bottle, I really like the flip design where you press down in the center of the lid and it pops open to allow you to easily dispense the cleanser. I use it in the morning to cleanse my face. I also use it in the evening if I’m removing makeup from my face.

The L’BRI Gentle cleanser is a must-have for dry skin like mine. My skin has responded better to it than any other cleanser I’ve tried in the past two years. I love it. It makes my face feel clean, refreshed and hydrated. I don’t feel tight or dry. It doesn’t seem to strip the natural oils from my skin the way some cleansers do. This is seriously one of my favorite products from the L’BRI line.

L’BRI Skincare Gentle Freshener

Price
$16.50

Ingredients
Aloe Vera Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Sorbitol, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Passiflora Incarnata (Passion) Flower Extract, Arnica Cordifolia Extract, Juniperus Communis (Juniper) Fruit Extract, Panax Ginseng Extract, Ascophyllum Nodosum (Sea Algae) Extract, Sodium PCA, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12), Citric Acid, Hinokitiol.

The L’BRI Skincare Gentle Freshener is sort of like a toner. It’s meant to be used by normal to dry skin to refine pores, improve circulation and add moisture. It’s an alcohol-free product with Aloe Vera, Arnica, Ginseng and Chamomile. L’BRI states that it’s safe for use around the eyes.

Honestly, I’m not a toner girl. I’ve never been someone that says, I need a toner. Still, I tried this product to see if it could change my mind. I noticed that it seemed to make my face (or anywhere else that I sprayed it) feel a bit soft. It seemed to absorb into the skin pretty fast. It didn’t leave my feeling dried out. I applied it by spraying it on my fingertips and patting it on my face. I didn’t see a discernible difference in my pores when I used it. I did notice if I got it too close to my eyes it seemed to irritate them, but I have sensitive eyes. I’m still not convinced it’s a necessity.

L’BRI Skincare Smooth n’ Firm Eye Repair Gel

Price
$30.50

Ingredients
Aloe Vera Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Stabilized Gel) Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Silk Amino Acids, Hydrolyzed Rice Bran Protein, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Oxido Reductases Euphrasia Officinalis (Eyebright) Extract, Vitas Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Ruscus Aculeatus (Butchers Broom) Extract, Spiraea Ulmaria (Meadowsweet) Extract, Echinacea Angustifolia (Coneflower) Extract, Lilium Candidum (White Lilly) Extract, Sambucus Nigra (Elder) Flower Extract, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A) Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Ascorbic Acid(Vitamin E), Sodium PCA, Allantoin, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Hinokitiol, Chlorophyll.

For a long time, I didn’t believe in the necessity of eye creams but I finally relented and realized that a good eye cream can do me a world of good. The Smooth n’ Firm Eye Repair Gel is an eye cream that seems to do best at improving dark circles and puffiness under the eyes, which aren’t really my primary concerns. This eye cream felt good on my eyes but didn’t really address my primary concern – fine lines. I felt like it wasn’t helping my fine lines at all. This eye cream is definitely one to pop into the fridge, then put on your eyes because it feels very nice. I think if your primary concern is dark circles or puffiness, you will want to check out this eye cream.

L’BRI Skincare Intense Eye Repair Cream

Price
$38.50

Ingredients
Aloe Vera Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Stabilized Gel), Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Hyaluronic Acid, Ceteareth-20, Glycosaminoglycans, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide Dipeptide-2, Soluble Collagen, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium ( Willow Herb) Flower / Leaf/ Stem Extract, Euphrasia Officinalis (Eyebright) Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Panthenol, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, Chrysin, Stearic Acid, Glycereth-26, Steareth-20, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Dimethicone, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Dimethicone/Vinyl, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide.

The Intense Eye Repair Cream is a much thicker eye cream that boasts a bunch of peptides and vitamins to help improve wrinkles, skin texture and crepiness. While I currently am fighting fine lines, when I switched to this eye cream I definitely saw an improvement in the lines. They were minimized, which is what I expect a good eye cream to do. I felt like the Intense Eye Repair Cream worked much better for me than the Smooth n’ Firm Eye Repair Gel.

L’BRI Skincare Rejuvenating Facial Peel

Price
$38.95

Ingredients
Aloe Vera Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Stabilized Gel), Sorbitol, Carbomer, Papain, Carica Papaya Extract, Panax Ginseng Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Sorbitol, Retinyl (Vitamin A) Palmitate, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), Beta Carotene, Sodium PCA, Glycerin, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Oil, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Hinokitiol.

The Rejuvenating Facial Peel is a mask that you should use once to twice a week. It’s supposed to help dissolve dead skin cells naturally, to improve skintone, clarity and texture. It’s supposed to be great for all skin types but especially those with rosacea, sensitivity and acne-prone skin.

I found myself using the Rejuvenating Facial Peel hesitantly at first, just once the first week, but I loved the results so I used it twice the second week. By the 3rd week I felt comfortable enough with it to use it every 3 days. It doesn’t seem to irritate my sensitive skin at all and it does a great job of making my complexion look clearer. I’m continuing to use this peel because I really like how smooth and clear my face looks.

L’BRI Skincare Intense Moisture Crème Super Antioxidant Complex

Price
$23.95

Ingredients
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Stabilized Gel), Glycerin, Dimethicone, Squalane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Hypnea Musciformis (Red Sea Algae) Extract, Gelidiella Acerosa (Red Sea Algae) Extract, Sargassum Filipendula (Brown Seaweed) Extract, Sorbitol, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract, Calendula Officinalis (Marigold)Flower Extract, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Retinyl (Vitamin A) Palmitate, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Cyclomethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG- 100 Stearate, Ceteareth 20, Carbomer, Hinokitiol, Cucumber Essence.

My favorite product by L’BRI Skincare is their Intense Moisture Crème Super Antioxidant Complex (though the cleanser is a close second!) This is a super rich cream that does an amazing job of hydrating the skin without clogging pores. As someone who always has dry skin these days (my rosacea meds dried me out and turned me from slightly oily / combo to Sahara desert dry skin), I really need a rich, heavy moisturizer. The Intense Moisture Crème Super Antioxidant Complex fits the bill. I used this product twice a day and completely finished the jar. I think it’s been amazing for my dry skin.

Skincare Routine with L’BRI Skincare

Many of you have asked for my skincare routine lately, especially after you saw my naked skin in my recent Real Techniques PowderBleu video. Below is the routine that I’ve been following for just over the past month.

Daytime Skincare Routine with L’BRI

  1. Cleanse with Gentle Cleanser
  2. Tone with Gentle Freshener
  3. Apply a serum & Intense Eye Repair Cream
  4. Intense Moisture Creme
  5. SPF

Nighttime Skincare Routine with L’BRI

  1. Cleanse with Gentle Cleanser
  2. Rejuvenating Facial Peel (once or twice a week, wait at least 20 minutes before moving onto the next step)
  3. Apply a serum and Intense Eye Repair Cream
  4. Intense Moisture Creme

My skin truly loves L’BRI’s aloe vera based line. I can see myself going back for more of the Gentle Cleanser and the Intense Moisture Crème Super Antioxidant Complex, as those two products were my absolute favorites from the line. I’m also a big fan of the Rejuvenating Facial Peel. While L’BRI Skincare worked wonderfully for my skin issues (dryness, sensitivity, rosacea), it’s also supposed to be great for acne-prone skin, so I would love to hear how it works for someone with acne.
