However, there is so much more to do!  Not only is Grove City, PA conveniently located an hour from Pittsburgh and an hour from Erie, which makes travel to those locations and all of their offerings super easy, but Grove City also has plenty of it’s own things to offer.  Grove City boasts a beautiful park that engages outdoor adventurers.  You can go swimming in the well maintained outdoor community pool, you can play basketball on the outdoor courts, kids can spend hours playing on the playground, you can sit by the park pond admiring the water and the birds, you can visit the memorials located there, or you can play disc golf on a wonderfully designed disc golf course that engages play throughout the park.  This one location offers so much to do, plus a beautiful setting to simply walk around.  This is a must go location even if just to have a picnic lunch and stroll through the Rotary Memorial Gardens.  Get out and enjoy this free treasure we call Memorial Park.

Grove City also offers other walking and bike trails, playgrounds, and Wolf Creek for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy.  There are also plenty of indoor activities to be enjoyed as well.  There is everything from bowling at the Bowl-O-Drome, to catching a new release movie at the Guthrie Theatre, enjoying ice cream at one of our awesome ice cream places like Dairy Queen and Sweet Jeanie’s, to golfing at beautiful golf courses like Pine Grove Golf Course and Grove City Country Club.  There is also plenty to do at our Grove City YMCA from swimming, to physical fitness and activities including basketball and deck hockey.

Grove City also boasts plenty of delicious restaurants to delight everyone’s taste buds.  Shoppers can stroll the lovely Olde Town area and find unique items at places like b’gifted and Joden Jewelers.  The kids can enjoy time at Kritter Kreations and the whole family can get great clothes at Burdick’s and ASA Fashions.  The list goes on and on.  Great shopping is also available in the West Main Street District with everything from Ace, Agway, Tractor Supply, County Market, WalMart and everything in between for your convenience.  Shopping at Grove City Premium Outlets gives shoppers the opportunity to buy name brands at great prices.

If museums are your passion, check out the Grove City Historical Society which offers a glimpse into Grove City’s past with themed rooms and plenty of wonderful historical items to look at.  Conveniently located nearby is the Grove City Community Library in case you need a good book to read while enjoying your day.

Every month June through September, there are FREE concerts available in Downtown Grove City at the Joseph D. Monteleone Youth Festival Park on the second and fourth Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.  These concerts feature different local bands and local restaurants are on hand serving up delicious food.  Bring your lawn chair, your family and your friends, and check out these awesome concerts.
