  • Providides a smooth and comfortable driving experience
  • Increases aquaplaning resistance

The Tiger Paw Touring A/S DT has been around long enough to become the most resistant and most maneuverable Uniroyal tire the company has ever produced. Its all-season grip and handling is suitable for today's coupes, sedans, vans and other popular vehicles. The tread compound combined with Uniroyal TrU-Form Technology notably offers a more uniform wear of the tread by reducing the tensions on the tire’s footprint. The solid shoulder block design improves dry and wet grip as well as cornering performance. Four circumferential grooves effectively drain water from under the tread also reducing the risk of hydroplaning and adding more confidence when riding in inclement weather. The Tiger Paw Touring A/S DT is one of the most popular tires in the Uniroyal range. It is an affordable and durable touring tire that offers quiet and comfortable driving on the highway, as in the city.

Four circumferential grooves effectively channel away water from under the tread on wet road surfaces. They also reduce the risk of hydroplaning and add more confidence when driving in rough weather. The tread is designed to also provide added grip on snow covered roads in the winter.

Inside the tire you will find two steel belts to go with Uniroyal’s DuraShield construction. The results are added strength and durability. A polyester cord body increases ride comfort and gives the tire a smoother ride quality. A 70,000 mile tread warranty is included on this model.

Overall Thoughts

The Tiger Paw Touring DT is one of the most popular tires in the Uniroyal lineup. It’s been around a number of years now and offers predictable performance and good comfort. The ride on the highway is smooth and very quiet.

Handling in wet and dry conditions is very good. The only area that we see that could be improved upon would be winter handling. It’s adequate, just not great. Tread life is good on this model due in part to the higher 660 treadwear rating.

Overall, this is a mid-grade touring tire that provides good performance. We give it a rank in the middle of this class. Other models you may want to take a look at would be the Michelin Defender, Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring or the Cooper CS5 Grand Touring.
