When Decisions Are Made

Admission decisions are released between February and May with the majority of offers being released between March and May.

  • February: The first round of admission offers are made to OUAC 101 and 105 applicants currently in high school. Keep in mind that only a small percentage of students will receive their offer during this phase.
  • March and April: Monthly round of admission offers are made to OUAC 101 and 105 applicants currently in high school.
  • May: The final round of admission offers are made to OUAC 101 and 105 applicants currently in high school.
  • After May: We continue to make offers to qualified students on a rolling basis as space remains in programs.

You will receive a decision from all of the University of Toronto faculties you selected. Those who are not admitted to their selected program(s) may be considered for alternate programs and campuses, space permitting.

University Holiday Schedule

The University is closed on dates cited below. The library, athletic facilities, and student centres may offer reduced hours during some holidays. Check their respective websites for closure times.

Confirm your program’s admission requirements by consulting the SGS Calendar. Visit your graduate unit’s website to confirm application procedures and deadlines. Some requirements you should consider: prerequisite degrees and courses, minimum GPA, application deadlines, and confirmation of supervision

3. Prepare Your Application

Review all the admission requirements for your chosen program. Plan enough time to submit your application and all supporting documents before the deadline. Note that referees will only receive reference requests when you pay the application fee, so give your referees plenty of time to submit their references.

4. Apply Online

If you are applying to a program starting in Fall 2022 or later, apply through our new application system.

For programs starting in Winter or Summer 2022, continuing using our previous application system.

In both systems, you will create a personal profile and begin the submission. Set aside 30-60 minutes to create a personal profile on our online application system, including your personal information and academic history. Please note that you will not be able to make changes to this information after paying the application fee.

Is it too late to apply for university 2022?

When are the UCAS deadlines? The UCAS 2022 deadline to apply for most undergraduate courses is 26 January 2022. You can still apply after this date but universities may now treat applications on a first-come, first-served basis rather than apply equal weighting.

How can an international student apply for a Masters at University of Toronto?

If you are planning on only applying to U of T, you live outside of Canada AND you're not studying (and have not previously studied) in Canada, then you can apply using our International Student Application. Otherwise, you can apply using the OUAC 105 Application.
