LET ME OUT IS A PSYCHOLOGIC TALE WITH MANY FACETS. UNPREDICTABLE EVENTS ARE THE RESULT OF THE CONTINUOUS TENSION ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE UNDERGONE. A TALE WITH MANY SHADES WHERE THE VIEWER WILL HAVE TO PICK HIS SIDE, LIVING THE SAME DOUBTS THE CHARACTERS DO AND LEARNING WITH THEM THE FEAR GIVEN BY THE KNOWLEDGE THAT EVERY SINGLE CHOICE, TAKEN OR NOT, COULD REVEAL TO BE THE WRONG ONE.

RUSSIA, 1978. A TEAM FORMED BY FOUR RUSSIAN RESEARCHERS IS CONTRACTED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO CARRY OUT A HUMAN TRIAL PROGRAM ON A GROUP OF FIVE AMERICAN PRISONERS, AMONG THEM ARE SPIES, DIPLOMATS, SOLDIERS. THE PRISONERS ARE LOCKED UP IN A CELL ADJACENT TO THE LABORATORY. THE TWO ROOMS ARE SEPARATED BY A WALL ON WHICH THERE ARE ONLY TWO SLITS THROUGH WHICH THE RESEARCHERS IS POSSIBLE TO OBSERVE THE CELL. DURING THE EXPERIMENT, SOMETHING GOES WRONG, AND THE PRISONERS SHOW SIGNS OF IMBALANCE EVER RECORDED BEFORE. THINGS DEGENERATE TO SUCH AN EXTENT AS TO REQUIRE MILITARY INTERVENTION. UNFORTUNATELY, THE SITUATION DOES NOT IMPROVE, UNTIL YOU COME TO A CONCLUSION TOTALLY UNEXPECTED.

THE STORY IS INSPIRED BY A VERY WIDESPREADED URBAN LEGEND: SOVIET HUMAN EXPERIMENTS ABOUT SLEEP DEPRIVATION. THE LEGEND HAS BEEN MODIFIED DURING YEARS LOSING CONTINUITY AND TRUTHFULNESS. THE FULLY ABSENCE OF NAMES, PLACES, DATES GAVE US THE NEED TO RESHAPE THE TALE IN ORDER TO BE LIVE-ACTION NARRATED, CREATING NEW CHARACTERS AND DEVELOPING NEW EVENTS WITH A TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND SHOCKING ENDING.
