Biome Showcase
There are tons of new biomes added through this mod, each with their own unique charm. For a full list of biomes consider visiting the BYG Wiki.
Autumnal Forest
Populated primarily by oak trees, the Autumnal Forest provides a warm tint with its green, red, and brown trees. The tree shape can vary from vanilla-like to more unique and chaotic. Its access to plenty of wood is balanced out by the shade provided by the trees, which can cause monsters to spawn during the day.
Rose Fields
While simplistic, the Rose Fields are beautiful, adding rose-type flowers as far as the eye can see. Standard mobs can spawn in these plains, in addition to horses, donkeys, and foxes. This biome is often accompanied by the Red Spruce Taiga variant.
Weeping Witch Forest
This mythical-like biome is almost out of a fairytale. The biome is covered in large mushrooms as well as various different colored trees. In addition to this, flowers such as crocuses and pink anemone are scattered across the ground. Many of the trees are quite tall, but are distanced enough to have visibility and sunlight around you. Swamp huts and taiga villages can also be found on occasion.
Zelkova Forest
The Zelkova Forest is covered in the aptly named zelkova trees, which tower above the player with their red hue. Sheep appear to spawn in higher numbers as well as the different flowers that cover the ground. Crocuses, kovan flowers, and white anemone are found all over in addition to ferns. Thanks to the height of these trees, this could be a great spot to build a treehouse and gain extra visibility in your world.
Fragment Forest
While the previous biome is tall, the Fragment Forest completely puts it to shame with its massive stone spires. These overgrown columns are covered in oak and ebony trees as well as many tropical flowers. Springs of water and lava will often generate on the sides, similar to vanilla mountains, which can start forest fires if unattended. This appears to be a great spot for an elytra takeoff or simply a challenge to scale.
Frosted Taiga
Similar to a snowy taiga biome, the Frosted Taiga is covered in beautiful blue spruce trees to compliment the cold atmosphere. The trees come in many unique shapes, with the ground consisting of grass, coarse dirt, and podzol. Blueberries, irises, and crocuses grow on the ground and accompany the various ferns scattered about. Taiga animals such as arctic foxes, wolves, and other common animals will spawn as well.
Common Issues
None of the biomes are appearing in my world:
In some cases, the biomes may not immediately appear in your world. This can sometimes be due to you spawning in a vanilla biome, so you may need to travel a bit to locate a new one. Alternatively, this can occur if a new world is not generated after installing the mod to the server. To do this, visit the main panel page then scroll down and click the Change World button. Enter a unique name, then follow the prompts to restart your server with the new world.
I get an error when starting the game:
There are many reasons that either the server or the client may throw an error after installing the mods. First, make sure that the version of Forge and the mods match. If issues still occur, ensure you have also installed the matching dependency mod, as neither game can start without it. Once this has been done, restart both the server and your own game, then try again.
