What countries use dd mm yyyy?

Very rarely do I ever hear someone speak the day before the month when both are included, and I think it's because we write MM/DD/YYYY. So when referring to a date like your birthday, people will say, my birthday is on December 25th or something like that. Some people do say the 25th of December, but I find it far more common to say the month before the date. Do countries that use the DD/MM/YYYY format have the opposite effect? Do they often say the 25th of December and rarely December 25th?

And in fact it is, ISO 8601 sets the international standard for writing dates as YYYY-MM-DD.

However, as the map above shows, that format is not commonly used outside of East Asia.

Instead you have all sorts of different formats being used.

The most common is the exact opposite of ISO 8601 and goes Day-Month-Year..
