I have been a member for about 2 months and read other reviews here and other sites about NFCU and their approval process. I said what the heck. Credit score is just under 700 after getting out of bankruptcy over 3 years ago. Prequalified for all of their cards so I selected the AMEX card. Instantly approved for $25K!! Of course, I will use this wisely. Thank you NFCU. You just earned a lifetime customer! Show NFCU lied about sign on bonusCredit Karma Member The card is ok but they didn't honor the sign on bonus agreement. I don't like dealing with liars so I'm done with NFCU. My best advice is: don't expect anything from them and they'll never disappoint you. 8221Apr 26, 2018it awefulCredit Karma Member dont waste your time if you credit is bad start off else where I applied with better credit than some of these amazing success stories I see and was denied cant nor could I understand why Love itCredit Karma Member I started with a $500 secured card. Today I opened my navy fed app to see that somehow I had an available balance of $1,884... I called them to inquire how I got so much extra money available. The representative told me that since I was responsible and in good standing they just upgraded my secured card to a $2,000 unsecured line of credit. They also sent me my $500 back. 6 months of being responsible got me $2,000 line of credit and I got a Credit line increase without ever even asking for it. Love Navy Federal!!! 1500Apr 11, 2018The best..Credit Karma Member My 3rd review. I joined NFCU, July 2017. I was approved for a Go Rewards $1600 limit. December 2017, approved for the More Rewards card, $3000 limit. Yesterday I applied for the cash rewards, instantly approved $4200 CL. My TU 588, EQ 574. Three credit cards $8800 total limits, in less than a year. I've been with USAA for 20 years, and still can't get approved for an unsecured card. 140Great card, and great customer serviceCredit Karma Member Well I read a lot of reviews and figured I would give it a try for credit increase and hope for soft pull. I'm at 1900.00 and asked for 25,000. It said it would be 24-48 hours so I called them. I was told that I was offered 5700.00 which is better then being denied and a hard pull as well. I then asked about APR which was almost 19% and they lowered it to 14.2% not to bad. 1700Feb 12, 2018Approved 18 year oldsCredit Karma Member Over the last 2 years I have carried my daughters on my credit cards as authorized users. November 2017 they turned 18. Today I had them apply for their first credit card with NFCU. Their Fico scores across the board is in the 740's. No collections, no late payments and not much income because they are in their final year of high school. I knew they would be approved because they have good credit. I was just surprised how much they were approved for. Each one got a credit limit of 25k. I know that may seen like a lot for a teenager but for many years I have tried to teach them the importance of good credit and the consequences of bad credit. Navy Federal has been very generous to us and I am glad my girls have them for their first experience with financial responsibility. 2110I have the cash rewardsCredit Karma Member My credit score at the time was only 591 and I was approved for a limit of 5000. I was too shocked... thanks navy federal? 1600Jan 23, 2018Thank you!!!Credit Karma Member I've been a member of navy Fed for a few years. I've applied and been denied for a few cards while trying to rebuild my credit. My scores are not great but I'm trying. Navy Fed sent an email with an approval code and I was hesitant to apply. It's been over a year since I applied for any card because of being denied denied denied. Well I took a chance and was approved! A nice credit limit with a decent APR. My goal is a home loan in the future, because of navy Fed taking a chance on me I'm one step closer. This bank is fantastic to use and not just because of the cc approval, since I opened my account with them I have never been happier. Thank you navy fed! 000Jan 17, 2018Credit Karma Member 655 TU and 638 EF.? Applied and approved $15,000 line of credit at 16% no fee's in ten minutes online.
