What is the FSA Test?

As mentioned above, the FSA test is a standardized assessment to test progress through schooling and set the standards for schools. The FSA is administered from grades 3 to 10 to track how students' knowledge grows at each particular grade level.

FSA Test Structure

There are two forms of the test a paper-based version and a computer-based version. Grades 3 to 6 often take the paper form of the FSA test while grades 6 to 10 take the computer format of the test. FSA Scoring

The scoring of the FSA assessment is very straightforward. Depending on how many questions a taker answers correctly, they will be graded on a scale of 1 to 5. The levels translate to:

Level 4 – proficient
Level 5 – mastery

Achieving a level 3 score on any of the tests is considered passing. Each level of the test requires slightly higher point amounts to reach each of the levels.

FSA Practice Test 4th Grade

The FSA practice at the 4th-grade level covers both mathematic understanding as well as English language arts skills.
