What is blue Exorcist anime rated

Q: Is Blue Exorcist rated MA?

Im not sure if someone asked this before, but why is Netflixs rating for Blue Exorcist TV-MA (other than maybe violence)? They did this with Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, Black Butler, Code Geass, and probably some others too.

This thoughtful (but pretty intense) anime is excellent at storytelling and creating compelling characters. Rin's journey in Blue Exorcist is highly specific, but also similar to that of many teens; he feels different somehow, he's never fit in, and wants to know and understand who he is. Many kids will see themselves in him, not because they're the literal spawn of Satan, but because sometimes it's hard not to do bad things. Despite his challenges, Rin is a sympathetic character, and it's fun to watch him interact with those around him, including his straight-laced brother and the warm monks who try to guide him.

To summon their "familiars" (sort of like spirit guardians), a bit of blood has to be drawn. Characters are sometimes shown pricking their fingers to summon them.
In the first scene of the anime, there is a ritualistic scene in which Satan gets into the room. He kills all the people in the room, throwing them around, causing them to tear up blood, and eventually bursting into blue fire.
Although most of the violence is supernatural/fantasy action, there is occasional blood. In the last couple of episodes, the violence is more extreme with lots of blood, Satanic sacrifices, and people combusting into blue flames.

Frequent swearing
In the subtitles, Satan is usually a potty-mouth, repeating the word /fuck/all the time (depending on the translator). The second opening uses fuck in the subtitles. English dub has shit, bull shit, ass-hole,ass,bastard.
