What is the difference between the 3.0 T and the red sport?

What's confusing? Avedis basically explained it. If you plan to mod significantly, and you can pay 5 figures less money by getting a premium or SS, getting a RS doesn't really make sense. If you don't want to mod, RS gets you the most performance. Also, there are claims that the SS can out perform the RS when fully modded since there are no optical sensors in the turbo's to limit performance.

Lol I take it you have not seen the stock exhaust system yet.. Man oh man the stock piping is small. Just with the lower down pipe I felt a big difference. I'm getting the upper down pipe this week or so.

My car made 396 rwhp spiking to 15 to 16 psi and holding 14psi with lower down pipes and cutouts

Upper down pipes and intakes should be on my car in a week or 2 and retune for 19.5 to 20 psi should be close to 500 wheel... I hope =)

Oh btw nismoknights, I've read somewhere that these turbos can push 24 psi. But that would be max. So the 18-20 psi sounds safer for longevity.

Yes sir, I'm going to push this car to the limit, and then add some nitrous. My car is back at the shop right. Transmission cooler, mid pipe with cutouts getting installed. After that if they have time to finish the upper down pipes and intakes I will leave the car to finish that up. Then I will have the car retuned for Max boost, what ever that is.

I highly doubt even 21 psi. Another tuner that would have tuned my car but he's in Texas said the turbos stopped making power after 20psi. These turbos are tiny for a good reason, they didn't want it coming close to the GTR power range with minor Bolt ons.

OV tuned my car in person, he will not tune past 16 psi..

DEP tuning out of Texas will soon do remote tuning and will go past 16 psi.. He will be coming to socal soon. If anyone wants to set up a dyno/tune let me know. He will be returning my car the same day.
There is only 3 People that have the software available that I know of. DEP tuning as a lot of years of experience.

Why not water/methanol injection like Snow performance type companies. Think it'll be safer

I still might, but it won't make that much more power. We can already max out these turbos on 91 Octane. Adding methanol will only let you advance the timing some more and gaining 10-15hp. 75-100 shot of Nitrous on the other hand will give you at least 75+ hp

No, OV tune, will not tune past 16psi. DAP will and I'm sure there will be new tuning software out soon that will allow you to take your car to who ever you like anyways.

What is the difference between Q50 3.0 and Red Sport?

The difference between the Q50 RED SPORT 400 and the other trim models is that the 3.0-liter V-6 twin-turbocharged engine that powers the entire lineup adds two turbo speed sensors and dual water pumps to the RED SPORT 400 models.

Why does the Red Sport make more power?

It is the same engine in that it has the same block and displacement. But the Red Sport engine is considerably tuned particularly with the addition of a turbocharger which boosts the airflow allowing more fuel to be burned with greater power output in the same cylinders.

What makes the Q50 red sport faster?

But the star of the show is the 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine. It powers the entire lineup by adding two turbo-speed sensors and dual water pumps to the Q50 Red Sport 400 model. The speed sensors help with turbo efficiency as the dual water pumps help reduce engine heat.

How do I know if my Infiniti is a Red Sport?

The easiest way to tell the difference between the RED SPORT 400 and the other INFINITI Q60 trim models is by looking at the exterior. The RED SPORT 400 and RED SPORT 400 AWD boast red brake calipers, larger tires, and fender badging with a red 'S' to signify RED SPORT.
