These heavy-duty bowl-lift stand mixers feature more powerful motors and up to 7 qts of capacity to handle your largest and toughest batches.

Choose the 4.5 qt KitchenAid® Classic™ stand mixer for the most streamlined set of options at an entry price-point. Upgrade to a 5 Qt Artisan® Series stand mixer for more features like a bowl with a comfortable handle and a pouring shield along with extra capacity and a variety of color choices. Choose a Professional Series or Pro Line® stand mixer for the most capacity and power to handle dense mixtures and multiple batches at once.

PRO LINE® AND PROFESSIONAL SERIES MODELS

If you’re looking for a bowl-lift stand mixer, choose from the lineup of Professional Series or Pro Line® stand mixers. You’ll find capacities ranging from 5 qts, all the way up to 7 qts along with some variations in features and color options. Bowl-lift stand mixers are heavier with wider bases and a bowl that connects at 3 lock-points to provide the extra stability you need when mixing large and heavy recipes.

KITCHENAID® MIXER: 4.5 QUART VS 6 QUART

Full size tilt-head stand mixers start with a 4.5 quart bowl capacity. This more modest size still helps you make up to 8 dozen cookies1 in one batch and is enough for most everyday recipes including full meals. Six quarts is standard on most bowl-lift models and can mix up to 13 dozen cookies1 at once. Bowl-lift models offer extra stability to help you tackle your toughest mixtures such as multi-grain bread.

5 qt bowls come with the full-sized Artisan® and Artisan® Design Series tilt-head mixers and the Professional 5™ Plus Series bowl-lift stand mixer. Five quart bowls can also be purchased separately and are available in the largest variety of styles, designs and materials. With the ability to mix up to 9 dozen cookies1 in one batch, 5 qt bowls are the most popular size and offer versatility for small and large batches. If you want an extra quart of capacity, you’ll need to choose a bowl-lift stand mixer. This means in addition to more capacity, you’ll also get some extra mixing power for dense and heavy recipes.

KITCHENAID® STAND MIXER: 7 QUART VS 6 QUART

7 qt stand mixers are the largest residential option from KitchenAid brand. This extra-large capacity bowl is only available on Pro Line® stand mixers. KITCHENAID® MIXER BUYING GUIDE

Need more help finding your perfect stand mixer match? Browse our Stand Mixer Buying Guide for an overview of all kinds of stand mixers. We’ll help you decide which factors are most important to you whether it’s size, power or even color.

1. Using the flat beater; 28g dough each.

What's the difference between a deluxe and a classic KitchenAid?

Deluxe is available in only one. With Deluxe, you get a bowl with a handle. Classic bowls don't include handles, but you can buy an additional 4.5 to 5-quart bowl with a handle as a replacement or as an extra. Both mixers include a flat beater and a C-shaped dough hook, but they feature different polyester coatings.

Which is the best model of KitchenAid?

Best Overall: Artisan The Artisan is the most popular of KitchenAid's stand mixers, and it's easy to understand why. The Artisan is about 20 percent smaller than the Pro 600, and the tilt-head design makes the mixer more compact so it can fit underneath most kitchen cabinets.

Is a KitchenAid Artisan mixer worth it?

The short answer is yes. KitchenAid mixers are worth it because they do so much more than mix; they shred, grind, whip, knead, and mash. With the plethora of attachments available, you can use them to make pasta, mix ice cream, stuff sausages, juice fruits and vegetables, and more.

What's the difference of KitchenAid Artisan?

Artisan mixers feature a pouring shield, and Classic mixers do not. Artisan mixers are available in over 40 colors, while the only options with Classic mixers are black, white, and silver. Artisan mixers have a more powerful 325-watt motor. Classic mixers feature a 275-watt motor.
