If you're brand new to Vegas, this might not upset you as much as it should. For those of you that have been in Vegas for a while, you may still be upset about this. What are we talking about? We're talking about free parking for locals and casino guests. In the old days (only a few years ago), free parking for locals and free parking for tourists was the norm. You wouldn't have to reach into your wallet until after you got inside the casino. Nowadays, though, many casinos on the Las Vegas Strip are charging for parking. But, thankfully, some Vegas casinos still offer free parking to locals and free parking to guests and tourists. If you want to see where you can park for free in Vegas and where you're going to get charged, check out our lists and charts below. Las Vegas Casinos With Completely Free Parking for LocalsWhile we can't force all of the casinos to give us free parking (though we wish we could), here is our list of places that STILL have free parking for locals and for tourists. We have some more tips on parking! You can save some money when it comes to parking on the Strip.
Parking on the Vegas strip used to be free everywhere! As if the casinos aren't getting enough of our money when we gamble, go to shows, or eat in the restaurants, they want more of it now. Most casinos on the strip now have some form of charge for parking. The charge varies depending on the size of your vehicle, what property you are at, and how long you are there for. Some casinos on the strip are allowing locals to park for free still, though, there usually is a time limit on that ( < 24 hours). Normally, we would list all of the casinos in alphabetical order and give you all of the parking details like a few other sites do. However, since this site is dedicated to serving Las Vegas locals, we're going to separate out the casinos that offer some form of free parking first and then follow up with the ones that are charging regardless. In the Casinos defense...The casinos have claimed that the move to charge for parking is not directed at solely a money grab. The casinos have integrated some systems to help you find spots easier (the little lights that float over the spots that turn red when the spot is taken) and have made a few other improvements that they say are "what you're paying for now". We will reserve our judgment on whether or not we agree with the practice for locals, but let's just say we are definitely biting our tongues.
