The options of seat and seat+bag fares are not available to be booked on flights between New Zealand and Perth or New Zealand and Tahiti.

worksdeluxe is available on Air New Zealand operated Airbus A320 aircraft only.

premiumeconomy is available on Air New Zealand operated Boeing 777 and 787-9 Dreamliner operated Tasman and Island services.

Buy snacks and drinks on board

While a meal or drinks are not included with our seat and seat+bag products, you'll be able to purchase snacks and drinks from our inflightbites menu using a credit card, debit card or prepaid voucher which can be purchased at the airport. Debit cards must display a Visa or Mastercard logo (cash and all other debit cards are not accepted).

With theworks and worksdeluxe products, once you've enjoyed your meal and drink service, you'll be able to order complimentary additional drinks from the inflightbites menu.

Please note: Infant meals are not provided so you are welcome to bring your own baby food and feeding equipment on board. Our cabin crew are happy to prepare, heat and wash bottles whenever needed, however please note there are no sterilising facilities on board the aircraft.

Baggage allowances

Airpoints Elite and Gold members can take two carry-on bags (up to 14kg in total, with one item weighing up to 10kg) with any of the Seats to Suit products.

Airpoints Elite, Gold and Koru members can take an additional checked bag (up to 23kg) with the seat+bag, theworks and worksdeluxe products. The seat only product does not include checked baggage allowance for any passengers.

Infants are entitled to a one piece cabin baggage allowance but do not receive a checked baggage allowance.

Lounge access

With our businesspremier product you'll receive lounge access when departing from airports where Air New Zealand has a branded and operated airport lounge.

Business class customers also have access to the Qantas lounge when departing from Adelaide. Please note there is no lounge access at the Sunshine Coast airport.

If travelling via an indirect route lounge access is not available in the transit airport. e.g. if travelling Auckland --> Brisbane --> Cairns, lounge access is available in Auckland only, not Brisbane.

If travelling from a regional New Zealand port lounge, access is available when transiting in New Zealand, e.g. if travelling Dunedin --> Christchurch --> Brisbane, lounge access is available in both Dunedin and Christchurch.

Card payment fee when booking

If you choose to pay by credit card, a card payment fee of NZD $7.10 (per person per one-way Australia journey) will be added to your booking. To avoid paying this fee you can pay by Air NZ Travelcard or POLi.
