From the very beginning, he will show that he doesn't like Eivor. When Sigurd leaves the settlement temporarily, Dag will keep undermining Eivor's decisions as well as the decision of handing over power over the clan to Eivor during the jarl's absence. The conflict with Dag will grow even bigger after completing the storyline of the Cent region, i.e. after establishing that Fulke is torturing the kidnapped Sigurd. After you finish the Cent saga and "close it" at the Alliance table, a new quest called A Brewing Storm will appear in your journal. Follow its description and go to sleep in Eivora's room in the main building of Ravensthorpe. Before you go to rest, we recommend that you replenish arrows and recharge your adrenaline bar. You can also save the game. Dag's shouts will wake Eivor up – he is waiting outside the building. Dag will challenge Eivor to a duel for taking over the leadership of the clan. Unfortunately, you cannot refuse Dag. Even if you reject his challenge, you will still ultimately confront him. The choice of the dialog option therefore doesn't matter. You must defeat Dag and this confrontation is treated as a boss fight. The second choice, and much more important, awaits you right after winning the fight – when Eivor will stand over the dying Dag. He's constantly making digs and has been generally trying to undermine Eivor's authority from the start. So it's no stretch when you discover that you'll need to fight him during the Brewing Storm quest. At the end of the boss fight, you'll be given two choices:
The best choice here is to give Dag his axe. If you don't, it will change the ending of the game and you won't get the true ending for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. If you don't care what ending you get, choose whichever option you like. How should you respond to Dag AC Valhalla?Dag Boss Fight. His weak spots are his shield (or his hand holding the shield), his left knee, and his right shoulder. ... . Don't spam attacks. ... . What is DAGS problem with Eivor?Eivor became Sigurd's adopted sister and thus his closest companion. This invoked Dag's jealousy, who believed that Eivor stole his destiny and would-be glory. Should you ask DAG to join you?When the rescue mission to save Sigurd is ready, you have the choice to ask him to join or stay to do as he pleases. Dag says he must stay back to watch over the settlement. Whether you tell him he must join or he can do what he wants, Dag will make the choice not to take this journey with you.
Is killing Dag avoidable?No matter what dialogues you choose in AC Valhalla: A Brewing Storm, Dag will fight you in a duel, and Dag's death cannot be prevented.
