1. Take Care of Your Feet. Before going to a ball game, make sure that you wear comfortable shoes. I used to be "guilty as charged" for wearing inappropriate shoes to the ball park—and I learned my lesson! Never wear heels higher than 2 inches! That's right, ladies, keep your stilettos at home for the evening. Other than being dangerous (stairs can be steep), you will look very out of place in high heels at a baseball game. I suggest wearing cute sneakers, flip flops on a nice summer day, or comfy wedges.
   
2. Dress Appropriately. Make sure to wear sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a baseball mitt. Unless you are going to a night game, it is highly recommended applying SPF 30 sunscreen, at least, on your face, and any exposed body parts. I cannot tell you how many times I missed that step and paid the price later, with a peeling nose and shoulders. Yikes! Sunglasses will help you see the field better, because the sun tends to be very bright, especially during the summer day games. A hat will keep your head from getting overheated, and it can also be a very cute addition to your ball park outfit! Fly balls are difficult to catch, even if you do have a mitt. But often a player/umpire will give you a ball just for trying, and remembering to bring your baseball mitt.
   
   
3. Do Your Homework. Before going to any ball game—especially if it's your first time—do some research about the game and the teams that you're going to see (where the teams are in the standings, top players, etc). If you understand the basics, you will have a much better time at the game. The first time I went to a game, I knew literally nothing about it and couldn't understand what was going on. 5. Have a Blast! Most of all, have a good time and cheer for your team! A baseball game lasts for three hours or more, so make sure you go with someone you enjoy spending time with! You can have the best time of your life at a ball game. It's a great place for a first date, to take your partner, family, or best friend. It's all about what you make of it.
