Mardi Gras Parades Schedule & Routes
Mardi Gras in one of the biggest celebrations all year in Louisiana and there is no exception in Southwest Louisiana. With more than a dozen parades and Mardi Gras celebrations, get ready to enjoy the second largest Mardi Gras celebration in the state!
Parade Routes
The Merchants Parade, Children’s Parade and Krewe of Krewes Parade travel down Pine St. to Ryan St. then south on Ryan St. to Sale Road.
The Second Line Stroll and Jeeps on Parade travel down Ryan St., south to Sallier Street.
Krewe of Omega Parade starts at the front of the Civic Center along Kirby Street, travels east along Broad Street, takes a left on Enterprise Blvd. to Mill St., a left on Mill and back into the backside of the Civic Center via Bord du Lac.
For all of the pet lovers out there, the Krewe of Barkus Parade is always a fun event to experience as dogs of all shapes and sizes put on the Mardi Gras seasons best as they parade by the Civic Center.

4. Krewe of Barkus Parade
A parade of costumed pets and their owners makes for a whimsical, carnival atmosphere. The title of "Mystical Dog" is given to the most strikingly costumed participant. One of the most highly attended parades during the Mardi Gras season, the day-time parade attracts pet-lovers and families.
5. The Zone for Kids, Tweens & Teens
The Zone is an area located along the main parade route, in the empty parking lot between the Charleston Building and the Parish Courthouse on Ryan Street, that is completely alcohol and tobacco free. The event is kid-friendly and is filled with free fun activities, entertainment, and food.
