What will be in the Minecraft 1.19 update?

Minecraft 1.19, the Weather n' Nature update, is focused on what it sounds like-weather and nature, and adds more weather, revamps the swamp biome, and more. It was released on January 26th, 2023.

Changes

• Wind now generates with thunderstorms and rain.
• The Swamp biome is now called Oak Marsh
• Ravines in Badlands and Desert biomes now are modeled after canyons like the Grand Canyon.
• Oak Trees now have a small chance to generate in a two by two formation like dark oak trees.

Additions

Mobs

• Mistwraith- A skeletal white slime that spawns during mistfalls. They are neutral mobs, and have as much health as an iron golem.
• Wildman- A humanoid mob that spawns in badlands biomes riding a horse. They do not despawn and can spot the player from over 50 blocks away.
• Ender Stag- A deer-like passive mob that has a lot of health and generates in Purstone Caves. It drops Enchanted Antlers.
• Cluckshroom- Basically just like the one in Minecraft Earth.
• Frog- A passive mob found in different swamp variants
• Catfish - A neutral mob found in swamps.

Weather Phenomena

• Riptide- When water in an ocean starts flowing and pulls the player into the water. Occurs during thunderstorms and rain.
• Flash Flood- When an area near a body of water floods. This occurs during rain and thunderstorms, and goes away afterwards.
• Wind- Basically just what is sounds like. There are different levels of wind, and higher levels can push you.
• Mistfall- When a chunk or two becomes shrouded in dense mist, spawning mistwraiths and skeletons. Other mobs do not spawn in mistfalls.
• Lava Opening- When a lava fall randomly spawns on the ceiling of the Nether.
• Cave Opening- When a vein of infected endstone randomly gets gravity and falls away, revealing a Purstone Cave.

Biomes

• Non-Wooded Marsh- A Marsh variant without trees. Swamp Huts do not generate here.
• Mangrove Swamp- A Marsh variant with mangrove trees. Swamp Huts can generate underwater here.
• Mistfallen Plateau- A Nether biome like a soul sand valley but a plateau that is constantly shrouded in mist.
• Black Sand Island- A Nether biome that spawns as an island in a lava sea. Black Sand generates here.

• Throwing Knife- The weapon a Wildman has. Wildmen have a 1/40 chance to drop them, and it cannot be crafted.
• Undead Crown- A piece of gear that basically is like a mob head that works for all undead mobs and that does 1 damage to every undead mob that goes close enough. It is crafted with Enchanted Antlers in the top middle, a diamond beneath that, an purstone crystal on either side of the antlers, and the rest bones.
• Potion of Mist Vision- Used to see better in the mist. Brewed with a bottle of mist.

World Generation

• Purstone Cave- A hidden cave found in the end that is the only place to find Purstone Ore.

Enchantments

• Weather Protection- An enchantment for armor that does protection against weather.
• Blast- A treasure enchantment for bows and swords. For bows, the arrows make explosions, and for swords, every hit makes a small explosion.

Advancements

• Mistfallen- Get killed by a mistwraith
• Who's the mistfallen now?- Kill a mistwraith
• Ore Galore!- Mine every type of ore
• Confusion- Use a riptide trident in a riptide

Structures

• Badlands Village- A village in the badlands
• Ranch- A ranch in the badlands. Two wildmen always generate there, and do not respawn after killed.

Release Date

UPDATE 8th June 2022: The Minecraft 1.19 update is now available! Head into the game now in order to install.

New Features

‘The Wild’ update is now available in Minecraft. Here are all the new features involved.

Deep Dark

The Deep Dark is one of two new biomes in the Minecraft 1.19 update. It can only be found deep underground and is home to one of the new mobs, The Warden.

Inside the dark depths, players will find Sculk Blocks, Sculk Veins, Sculk Shriekers, Sculk Sensors, and Sculk Catalysts. The Deep Dark biome is the only place that Ancient Cities can spawn.

Ancient Cities

Ancient Cities can only be found in the Deep Dark biome and contain chests filled with rare items.

The Warden

The Warden is a mob that lives in the Deep Dark biome and can be summoned by Sculk Shriekers. He is very aggressive and relies on his sense of smell and hearing to locate his enemies.

Mangrove Swamp

The Mangrove Swamp is a new biome in The Wild update and is home to a handful of new items. While exploring, players will be able to find new things like Mangrove Trees, Leaves, Logs, Planks, Propagule, Logs, Roots, Moss Carpets, and Propagules.

Frogs

Frogs are one the new mobs in the Minecraft 1.19 update and can be found in the Mangrove Swamp. They can be grown from Tadpoles, which are another new addition to the game.

Froglight

To accompany the frogs, froglights are a new decorative piece that emits a bright light. There are three different kinds that are all created when a frog eats a Magma Cube. So far, players can get Ochre, Pearlescent, and Verdant Froglights.

Mud

One of the new items in the update is mud, which can be found again in the Mangrove Swamp. It can also be made by using a water bottle on dirt. Players can use mud to make Packed Mud, which can be turned into Mud Bricks.

Boat with Chest

A simple addition. It’s the boat as you know and love… but this time with a chest!

Allay

The final mob is a creature called an Allay. It’s a friendly mob that will seek out dropped items for a player of which is given to them and will only stop seeking that item when you take it away from them.

Name

As mentioned, the new update for Minecraft is being referred to as The Wild Update.
