Hi all, does anyone know first hand any differences in quality between a size 7M and size 7Y, specifically in Jordan 1 Lows? I know some aspects such as the type of material used and specific details vary for bigger sizes in the Highs. But what about the Lows? Thanks in advance! A question we often get is ‘What’s the difference between a Jordan 1 High OG and a Jordan 1 Mid?’ For some people they probably look all the same. But there are some important details that make the difference. But don’t worry, we got you! After reading this article you know the most important differences between these two silhouettes. Let’s get started! First of all, let’s start with this. The Jordan 1 High OG is the original silhouette. They released in 1985 for the first time. That’s also the reason why these original ones, the Jordan 1 High OG’s, are more expensive than the Jordan 1 Mids. The Jordan 1 High OG is a great success, also for the new generation. Nike and the Jordan Brand saw this as well. To keep the Jordan 1 High OG more limited, they came up with the Jordan 1 Mid, available for a wider audience.  Jordan 1 Mid 'Barely Rose' Jordan 1 High 'Pine Green' The Jordan 1 Mid is inspired by the Jordan 1 High OG, but there are some important details that make the difference. Let’s take a look at these differences. The Jordan 1 mid is a bit shorter than the Jordan 1 High OG. Still not sure if it’s a High or a Mid? Count the lace holes and you’ll find out! A Jordan 1 Mid has 8 lace holes, while a Jordan 1 High OG has nine lace holes. Besides the height of the silhouettes, there’s another difference between the Jordan 1 High OG and the Jordan 1 Mid that you can see very easily. And that’s the logo on the tongue of the shoe. The Jordan 1 High OG has the original ‘Nike Air’ branding on the tongue, while the Jordan 1 Mid has the Jumpman logo with ‘AIR’ underneath. Grade School or GS refers to the reengineered sizes of popular sneaker silhouettes. Built of a smaller and narrower construction, Grade School models are specifically designed to fit a foot smaller than the average male, offering the perfect fit for girls and adolescents. As standard men’s sizes commonly start at US 7, Grade School sizing fits a smaller male’s foot perfectly. Often referred to as Youth Sizing, models are marked with a ‘Y’ symbol/lettering. Grade School sizing applies specifically to Nike & Air Jordan models, and is available from US 3.5Y to US 7Y. See the conversion chart below. Nike often has several different versions of their adult sneakers, and these are categorised by whether they are TD, PS or GS. Sneakers with 'TD' in the product name/description are made for Toddlers. These run from a UK 1.5/EU 17 to a UK 9.5/EU 27. I take no ownership unless stated otherwise. Retro 4 Pay attention to the midsole area, notice the difference? MENS: GS: Retro 5 GS "23" on the back end of the shoe has a smaller font and men's "23" has a larger font size MENS: GS: Retro 7 The tongue is attached to the sock liner in men sizes and GS has a real tongue which can pop out. thing is GS sizes get exclusive color ways from both jordan and Nike brands. Most of the time different materials are used between the two. What retro Jordan color ways were made exclusively for men's size?
7,1391,707JoinedJan 2, 2012 Has been the case for a while. Smaller shoe/foot, so they have to design them a bit differently. I guess they change the materials because they're kids shoes. Self explanatory. With the case of the 4s, the midsole change was done because the shoe isn't "long" enough and would look weird. As a wise man once said, "that's just the way it is."

gradeschool they also have no problem having Nike Air & that price tags on the F'89s
