When does chicago p.d. return 2022

Chicago PD is almost here. After months of anticipation and waiting to find out what happened to Voight (Jason Beghe) and the rest of the IU, the cop drama is on the brink of returning to NBC. In truth, we’re only a few weeks away from the season 10 premiere.

PD has taken the summer off for the decade it’s been on the air, and while the routine makes it easier to deal with, there’s only so much binging of the old seasons that fans can do before they want to get their hands on new episodes and stories.

Luckily, our latest hiatus is in the home stretch now that August is breezing by and September is practically here.

When is the new season of Chicago PD?

The new season of Chicago PD will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 21. The day in question will be called One Chicago Wednesday, since the other two shows in the franchise will air earlier on the same night. As with previous seasons, PD will once again be holding down the 10 p.m. time slot, serving as the capper after Chicago Med and Chicago Fire on NBC.

There hasn’t been much revealed about the show, and what the characters will be dealing with, but we do know that Benjamin Levy Aguilar will return as Dante Torres after making a memorable appearance in season 9.

While information remains scarce, we can assume that the premiere will touch on the aftermath of Anna Avalos’s death, and how it has affected Voight.

Ever since the ninth season of Chicago PD came to a close, fans have been anxiously awaiting the show’s return and the promise of resolution to the many storylines left unresolved as season 9 came a close.

With August upon us, NBC has revealed its primetime schedule for the month and, unfortunately, Chicago PD‘s new season will not be coming this month. While disappointing, we can’t say we’re too surprised as the series has long been a fall staple for the network and has previously been confirmed to return once again this fall.

Season 10 won’t be coming to NBC in August, but fans won’t have to wait too much longer for the next season of NBC’s hit series!

Chicago PD season 10 premiere date on NBC

While Chicago PD will not be returning with new episodes in August, the good news is that season 10 is coming in just a few short weeks!

As confirmed by NBC, Chicago PD season 10 will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c, roughly four months after the season 9 finale aired back on May 25.

Not only will Chicago PD be premiering on Sept. 21, but fans can also look forward to the season premieres of Chicago Med and Chicago Fire which will respectively be kicking off their eighth and eleventh seasons in the 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET timeslots.

In the meantime, fans can rewatch the most recent season as well as all previous seasons of their favorite One Chicago series on Peacock!
