When is Netflix going to add more One Piece episodes

It's a new year, anime fans, and One Piece has given us a whole new reason to rejoice this year! Additional One Piece anime series episodes will soon be available on Netflix in March 2022. In June 2020, Netflix US received One Piece episodes for the first time. Fans can find thirty episodes of the One Piece anime on Netflix currently. (Seasons 1 - 4)

Eiichiro Oda's manga series of the same name, on which the anime is based, began in July 1997 and was published in Weekly Shonen Jump. The series gained popularity quickly, with the manga continuing to this day. The number of manga chapters and anime episodes has both exceeded 1000. s of July 2021, One Piece had over 490 million copies in circulation in 58 countries and regions worldwide, making it the best-selling manga series in history. It is also one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.

One Piece Additional Episodes To Join Netflix: When Will It Arrive? What Can We Expect?

Additional episodes of the One Piece anime series will be available on Netflix on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. When Netflix US first received One Piece episodes, the East Blue and Alabasta Sagas became available to stream. Now, Netflix's "coming soon" page and the One Piece page on the platform confirm that new series episodes are coming soon.

Currently, One Piece has more than a thousand episodes and is still broadcast on the Fuji TV channel, under the production of Toei Animation. Unlike years ago, enjoying this extensive animated fiction is no longer a headache thanks to the rise of streaming, being released on Netflix and also being available on Crunchyroll (specialized in anime content).

How did this journey begin? The story begins with Monkey D. Luffy and the origin of his inspiration in Shanks, a pirate who saved his life at the cost of losing his own arm. Years later, when he is already a teenager, he sets out to gather a group of misfits to join his crew and thus become the king of pirates. The road is long and it won't be easy, but the protagonist has an advantage: the power of the Gomu-Gomu, a devil fruit he ate in his childhood and allows him to enjoy special abilities such as stretching or generating great strength. Nami, Usopp, Zoro, Sanji, Robin, Frankie, Chopper and Brook will be his great allies until the end.

Netflix will also work on the live-action of One Piece

Two years ago, mangaka Eiichiro Oda confirmed that Netflix would work on a 10-episode live-action production based on his greatest work. Due to the pandemic, the project was paralyzed and did not begin production until March 2021 with Steven Maeda in the role of showrunner. A few months later, the official logo of the project was announced and who would be part of the main cast.

The cast consists of Iñaki Godoy as Luffy; Mackenyu as Zoro; Emily Rudd as Nami; Jacob Romero as Usopp; and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Other stars who will be part of the series include Peter Gadiot, Morgan Davies, Ilia Isorelys Paulino, Aidan Scott, Jeff Ward, McKinley Belcher III and Vincent Regan.

The episodes of the live-action anime One Piece do not yet have an official release date in Netflix, but its premiere is expected to take place between this year and next year. For now, fans can enjoy the opening arcs of the original story and the new chapters that will arrive in the coming months.
