Where are pistol and boo now 2022

An American TV presenter has suggested that Amber Heard’s dog has gone ‘missing’, having trawled through the star’s Instagram to find that one of her Yorkshire Terriers is ‘nowhere to be found’.

Over the years, Heard has had a number of dogs, including a new pet that joined the family in 2021, which was named after Australian Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce – a nod to a previous quarantine debacle involving two of her other dogs, Pistol and Boo.

You may remember that she had tried to bring the two Yorkshire Terriers to Queensland back in 2015 to visit then-husband Johnny Depp as he filmed.

After breaking biosecurity laws when they failed to declare the animals, the couple were given days to remove the dogs or face them being put down, with Joyce – who had been Agriculture Minister at the time – saying the pets should ‘bugger off back to the United States’.

However, now it seems there may be mystery surrounding one of the two dogs, after TV presenter Cooper Lawrence revealed that one might be ‘missing’.

Speaking to Australian breakfast show Sunrise on Thursday about Heard's visit to Queensland, Cooper Lawrence suggested that Heard may no longer have Boo, as the dog hasn’t featured on her Instagram since 2020.

“Do we know where Pistol and Boo are these days?” Lawrence was asked.

She replied: “Well, she got custody of Pistol and Boo [after splitting from Depp] and because I love you guys, I did a really deep dive into her Instagram and I found that Boo is nowhere to be found.”

Lawrence joked that ‘maybe Boo is camera shy’, adding: “But Pistol is all over her Instagram, so Pistol is around.

“She has custody. Johnny Depp doesn't have those dogs right now – I don’t know if he has any new pets.”

When Heard violated Australia's biosecurity laws as they tried to bring Boo and Pistol into the country, Joyce said during a press conference: "If we start letting movie stars - even though they've been the sexiest man alive twice - to come into our nation [and break the laws], then why don't we just break the laws for everybody,' he said during an infamous press conference.

"It's time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States."

Heard was charged with two counts of illegally importing the animals into Australia in July 2015, with the star later pleading guilty to falsifying travel documents in a Gold Coast court in April 2016.

She is now also the subject of an ongoing perjury investigation, which relates to 2016 court proceedings that stem from the trip to Australia.
