The West Sea Shellos is the pink-colored Shellos, and its the first one that players can catch. Exploring the far-south of the Fieldlands Camp in Obsidian Fieldlands across the river will lead to Sandgem Flats.

Shellos is a Water-type region-exclusive Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. It evolves into Gastrodon when fed 50 candies. It has two forms namely West Sea and East Sea.

When it senses danger, a purple liquid oozes out of it. The liquid is thought to be something like greasy sweat.

Shellos was released along with the release of Lure Modules as an evolution method on May 17th, 2019.
West Sea form is available in the Western Hemisphere while East Sea form is available in the Eastern Hemisphere.

On April 29th, 2019, there were various reports of both forms of Shellos appearing around the world.[1] About ten minutes later, the spawns ceased and the Shellos were reverted back to event spawns.[2]
Both forms of Shellos appeared around the world in the first half hour. Then they were taken down and became region-exclusive Pokémon few hours later.[3]

Where can I find both Shellos?

An easy spot to find them is in the center of the map on a small collection of islands north of Sand's Reach. Next, head out to Obsidian Fieldlands to Sandgem Flats or Ramanas Island, where you'll find a pink and brown West Sea Shellos. The easiest place to find them is in the Sandgem Flats to the southwest.
