Join Kevin, Stuart, Bob and Otto, and the other whacky Minions as they fight against the clock to save their beloved Mini Boss, Gru. They are just as silly and charming as ever. As Gru is 11 and 3/4 years old, he feels he is ready to be a great Super Villian. He dreams of being a part of the Vicious Six and when he hears his favorite villain, Wild Knuckles is dead, he interviews for the opening in the gang of bad guys. They don't take him seriously and he vows to do something despicable to get their attention, and then the action ensues. What I especially loved about this film is that it is set in the 1970s and I loved all of the references to the time period, not to mention the clothes and cars and music! You will hear from the Rolling Stones, The Ramones, and Linda Ronstadt, to name a few. I imagine the references and music will be more entertaining to the adults taking their kids to see this film than the kids themselves, but I think the kids will really enjoy it, too. Maybe it might spur a 70s music revival! As an additional note, there is nothing in this film that you wouldn't feel comfortable taking your children to see. It's just good, family fun. Enjoy!
